Well I hate that because unlike wild animals we can make informed choices about our actions and that is a choice to be needlessly violent. I can't help but wonder what it does to the soul. I choose to be vegetarian / 90% vegan with occasional fish as a treat. But I do respect hunting more than buying factory farmed meat at the supermarket. Not that anyone needs my opinion but there it is: be kind to planet and animals even if it involves some self sacrifice, it is needed now more than everI love Gods world and I kill Wild Animals for food
I hate factory farmed meat, it is cruel. Also I follow a rule, the animal must always have a painless death and cannot see any murderous weapon. It also cannot be panicked and must be calm.Well I hate that because unlike wild animals we can make informed choices about our actions and that is a choice to be needlessly violent. It was a little wildJust catching up to the raging coyote debates, and yeesh. Kinda glad I was at work now.
The only thing I can think of is that it's planned to be apart of another pack. I still believe that they won't end it here on the sole reasoning being that they wouldn't be able to bundle the Americas pack unless they release another DLCDays later and I’m still genuinely confused at why they didn’t include coati. It seemed like the most obvious inclusion and impossible to be missed… but…
I’m not even upset about it, I just literally don’t understand. We’ve done their market research for them, it’s right there on multiple lists, but they ignored it.
I’ll never consider anything an obvious addition again. Swept the rug out from under me!
The only scenario where this makes sense to me, is if we got another zookeepers-like pack next. The spectacled bear could have been instead of most the animals in this pack, and it would have made the pack better to many. Yet we got it in zookeepers, likely because if they didn't include anything South American in it, it would create too much drama since we had no clue Americas Animal Pack would be next.Days later and I’m still genuinely confused at why they didn’t include coati. Okay, I am late, but I just have to reply to this.It is seemed as roadkill, kills many pets every year, only has a 17 holdings worldwide, and took the spot of the most wanted pack that could have been Coatimundi or Patagonian Mara...![]()
Its not really complicated. They've got no money to do animals like this anymore.Days later and I’m still genuinely confused at why they didn’t include coati. It seemed like the most obvious inclusion and impossible to be missed… but…

Aside from the possibility others have mentioned that they're waiting till the last DLC to drop all the absolute most-requested animals, I'm going to just assume their staff has decreased so much over the past year that any higher-effort animals (Like Coati, Howler, Secretary Bird, any non-ratite birds, Tree Kangaroo, etc.) are probably too much work this late in the game. The work and potentially funds outweigh the work the devs can still reasonably put out. But since there's still a fairly active player base buying DLCs, they're gonna try to squeeze as much profit as they can out of the game, while still trying to meet our desires to the best of their abilities.Days later and I’m still genuinely confused at why they didn’t include coati. Well said. This is exatly what I am thinking too.Aside from the possibility others have mentioned that they're waiting till the last DLC to drop all the absolute most-requested animals, I'm going to just assume their staff has decreased so much over the past year that any higher-effort animals (Like Coati, Howler, Secretary Bird, any non-ratite birds, Tree Kangaroo, etc.) are probably too much work this late in the game. (I don't think they're completely deaf to our wants, as this latest pack we're getting: A New World Monkey, 2 American Birds, and more species to round out South America in general, all of which the community has been asking for for ages now. They just don't have the means to get us precisely what we're asking for anymore)
And yet the prices for us are stil the same, without the quality that was there before. With full understanding for their financial situation, this still does not sit well with me.Aside from the possibility others have mentioned that they're waiting till the last DLC to drop all the absolute most-requested animals, I'm going to just assume their staff has decreased so much over the past year that any higher-effort animals (Like Coati, Howler, Secretary Bird, any non-ratite birds, Tree Kangaroo, etc.) are probably too much work this late in the game. Without any inflation, a price that remains the same 5+ years on is essentially a price decrease. How much have your bills gone up since 2019? They have for Frontier too, but they are not passing that cost on to us.And yet the prices for us are stil the same, without the quality that was there before.
