But honestly, I couldn't care less. In the same way that all leopards are leopards, all bighorn sheep are bighorn sheep. We don't need multiples of 1 species for extremely niche functions.

Or I should say they can. They usually look sleeker. I'm fine with the model being the Mountain subspecies. I hope it comes with desert biome suitability though. The Bighorns are, of the animals we have seen so far, my favorite new addition. Although the white Coyote is pretty cool looking too.
Ngl I was never against the bighorn but with how good it looks I'm so glad it's here lmao
It makes me want an updated Dall Sheep. I'm usually fine with "older" models, but I think the Dall sheep would look so good with even just better fur.
Also, does Bighorn have color variation? I'm personally glad to have two mountain sheep. I would have hoped for Barbary Sheep, though. I'm still very excited for Bighorn!

I think the Dall sheep holds up really well for such an early DLC animal, I've always been a huge fan of it, but yeah seeing the evolution of the game is crazy.
So far my ranking of the new animals from least to most favorite:
- Greater Rhea is found in what used to be my local zoo... They add to the unrepresented Southern parts of South America. They are pretty. They were almost inevitable to add...
- White-faced Saki is a New World Monkey that the community was desperate for. I think its a pretty species. I wish it would have been the Howler though... Its one of the only animals I would change, actually
- Ocelot is pretty cool because I was desperate for a small cat from the New World.
- Coyote looks like he has color variants and is iconic in North America and known for unique sounds. I wanted a new canid after two years...
- American Flamingo is amazing to finally have a colorful bird! And a bird for NA too. Also looks more like a Flamingo.
- Bighorn Sheep is a desert tolerating caprine/sheep which I longed for and is why I always wanted Aoudad.
- Bush Dog is about as unique and far away from being a clone as a canid can be. They have a good range in (mostly) South America and are far from unheard of in zoos. I personally wanted an unique canid.
In absolute no world will I be happy to pay for a goat/sheep 3 times in a row. And I do love goats/sheeps. But this animal will forever be my personal "this should have been a Coati" species in the pack. That does not take away from it being a stunning model and maybe even the best goat / sheep we have in game.
So far I feel graphically the Coyote got the short end of the stick in the pack. Comparing the Nandu feathers and the sheep fur to the Coyote, the Coyote still looks blurry / as if too much scrim diffuser was used.
Little sad that the Flamingo still was not leaked

EDIT: Oh, Ocelot was the one I forgot. Yeah. Means that fur for me falls into the caregory "not even worse remembering", so very very very neutral. Saki I reserve for seeing the females.
