Planet Zoo: Arid Animal Pack Releasing 20 June 🐪

The North American porcupine even lives in the tundra in alaska, an alaska news website says "In winter they're able to stabilize their body temperature by using quills and guard hair to insulate themselves. They are ultimately able to survive the winter by burning fat and moving very little". I imagine they just stay in their dens/indoor spaces most of the winter.
But NA porcupine and old world porcupines have nothing to do with eachother.

Yeah but this is the completely unrelated crested porcupine, a hot climate animal

Look at how a spotted hyena looks when living in cold weather.

Dama Gazelle - Arid Animal Pack!🏜️

- Look at this beautiful Antelope! I know it's not the most exciting animal in the pack, personally! but it looks GORGEOUS! also look at the baby! it looks freaking adorable!
(Sorry for the double like lol) Oh my gosh they look SOOOOOO beautiful. I love how they've been really paying close attention to the way the skin moves under the fur. The coat looks like it ruffles a bit at the base of the neck, a small but well appreciated detail. I'm so so excited to get my hands on them!!

That lions and spotted hyeans are perfectly fine in cold wether isnt actually that surprising once you discover that they lived all over europe during the last ice age :D
Just shows the adaptability of those animals
Those were Cave Lions and Cave Hyenas though.
🤔 I think Lions lived in ancient Greece. Don't know if they were Cave Lions or the african Species

The lions found during historic times in Europe were northern lions. In particular, the difference between those populations, the recently extinct Barbary lions, and Asiatic lions is negligible, not just only the same subspecies, but also with almost no difference whatsoever.

Cave hyenas were a different subspecies of the spotted hyena, but, after all, animals will change their fur growth depending on the climate. It is not an inmutable character, but something regulated hormonally in response to the actual conditions.

As can be expected, the gazelle looks great. We may criticize the animals Frontier chooses to include in DLCs sometimes, but we can't deny that they usually look great.

I wish instead of West African Lion, the species we have was just relabelled to Northern Lion. Then we could build Asiatic themed exhibits and North African themed, as well as West African.
