Yeah, hamandryas, sulcatas, secretarybirds and ratels are pretty much what would work in addition to what we got. Or even stuff like banded mongooses (mongeese?)... Really biodiverse places after all.

Dromedaries and black rhinos are long overdue, seeing they had building pieces back in vanilla, 3 and a half years ago.

I just noticed this too! Will they be just decoration or are we getting usable playgrounds on the free update as a hidden surprise?
I'd say that's no more than a simple scenery...If playground was meant to happen, why'd they hide something like that?

In my honest opinion, I expected at least dromedary or black rhino would come as an anniversary animal or something. Wild ass is fine, addax gets me some nostalgia, dama gazelle is a...surprise, for sure.
Good to see a classic exhibit animal again.

I'm ass so ass happy ass this ass looks ass amazing ass

But seriously, lovely lovely picks Frontier, thank you. The glimpses we're getting from the images so far all look amaaaaazing! I can't wait to see more!

Sand kittens omgooooosh I will be like @Swiftie_Midnights_ about them and just die my death. I love the graceful antelope picks, just stunning. I'm going to start a whole Antelope Diversity section in my zoo and make educational boards about their different adaptations and how their colourations help with the heat. That's my plan for this evening.

I couldn't be happier about the Somali Wild Ass, I've long wanted them and had all my fingers and toes crossed. Just such a beautiful animal and don't donkeys just have such great presence IRL?! I can also start to build up a more kid-friendly farmy-type area I think with the Wild Ass, Prz. Horse, sand cats, fennec foxes, meerkats, wallabies and other little gentle soft creatures (I know you hear this a lot but I do hope that we get playgrounds and feeding dispensers and such in a future scenery pack).

Major hype, great job, and thank you asssss always Frontier :D💚💚💚

Well, the models are all really beautiful, and I love that there’s a piebald camel.

I was really hoping to see some more striking and diverse ungulates like Blackbuck, Greater Kudu or even Eland; and definitely would have loved some birds. Overall these species are all just shades of beige from the same biome on the same continent, which is a little bit boring to me. We already have more striking and interesting versions of many of these animals. Oh well, maybe next time the lineup will be more diverse.

That pack is a bit of a kick in the Somali wild ass to everyone who have wanted something else than mammals walking on four legs.

I guess chances are that the porcupine took up a lot of time, and therefore you were in need of easy stuff. But then we should at least have gotten the spurred tortoise instead of one of those hoofstocks. Doesn't get much more simple than that. And then there of course are birds....

I can see the appeal of all the animals, but getting them in a bundle like this on top of our already hoof-stock heavy roster that is lacking in so many other areas that could easily be addressed under this theme. It is just really really odd....

Can we say ass now? Testing.

Also, since no one else has mentioned them yet, I’ll be the first to say DAMA GAZELLE HYPE. They’ve always been a low key hope of mine that I never expected to get because of the higher priority addax, but then we just went and got them both as once. Amazing.
ME TOO! Just started some work on the dama gazelle so I must have manifested them hahah. I’m super excited to see what the coat variations will be like, and whether they will represent the different subspecies!

Honestly, for me, this pack rocks.

This pack is SO good!

For me, the best addition is the Porcupine: It looks absolutely stellar and was on my personal top 3 since the game‘s launch - BEYOND excited to see it here! (Also, I think we all have to thank Swiftie for her advocacy towards these animals, Frontier CLEARLY knew about it lol)
The more I think about the Sand Cat, the more my excitement for it grows; having such a small cat species (hopefully accompanied by a similarly small hitbox) will make for incredibly interesting habitats (plus I‘m just over the moon for any cat we get).
The Dama Gazelle is (tbh) a species I wasn‘t really familiar with before this announcement, but it definitely feels unique enough to warrant its spot in here (plus, isn‘t it the first gazelle we‘ve got since launch day?)
The Addax and Dromedary both look so majestic and beautiful that, even if I weren‘t interested in these animals at all, I‘d still be blown away!
The Black Rhino is a bit of a null pick for me, in that it doesn‘t offend me in any way but also doesn‘t interest me THAT much. But I‘ve already seen plenty of people rooting for its inclusion, so I have no doubts on whether it deserves this spotlight.
The Horned Viper is a standard exhibit animal, so an animal I will just most likely forget. Will probably have a great model though!

Is the pack maybe a bit overreliant on ungulates? Yeah, probably.
Do I care? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I am very happy about the porcupine, as it was one of my must haves. The Wild Ass is a real nice surprise, didn't even dare to think we'll actually get them. So it's two "bingos" for me.

But... only two. Two ungulates in one pack is one too many, in my book and I would have prefered a monkey or - even if they're not my priority - a bird.
I know the cute Sand Cat was somewhat highly requested, but even as a cat person I feel we have "enough" cats, as longs as monkeys and birds are not prioritized a little more.

If I knew we would have another year of support I wouldn't complain, but as we assume we are dealing with limited animal spots, a "clone pack" like this is just not knocking me out of my socks.
That said, I'm sure every and each animal was made with a lot of love and passion from the team and will be a welcomed edition in the long run (like after support for the game ends and we have to live with what's there until a possible PZ 2 or something).
I am grateful the game is still supported with new content after three years. But at this point, I'm hoping more and more that - when main pack production ends - Frontier will consider the micro transaction "one animal a month" idea and that way fill the roster of monkeys and birds more.
