Desert Horned Viper - Arid Animal Pack! 🏜️

- holy snake, this is might be my fav regular exhibit animal! just look at this insanely beautiful animal! oh my god. frontier you nailed it. and It's true? does I seeing it correctly? there is no glass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD! i told you it gonna happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Snake looks fab!
I wouldn't assume there is no glass from this pic - could just be a backdrop and a clever angle. If you zoom in enough on the exhibit animals in the game you can make it look like they're in a habitat. I mean, I'd be thrilled to get null exhibits, just saying I'm not sure this is it.

Is it just me or is that in a habitat?
Looks more like maybe Grass being put inside the Exhibit. Works especially great with the Eucalyptus Sapling in the Desert Exhibit.

Just realized we could've gotten the Desert Rain Frog instead ._. but otherwise we've also gotten lots of Amphibians in recent DLCs. Still hoping for a additional big Snake like a Green Anaconda or Reticulated Python🐍

It has too wide of a forehead.
Immediately thought about this when I've read it🙃

Is alright. I mean it looks good but nothing too exciting tbh.

I'm intrigued about the glass or no glass situation but i guess if we will be getting null exhibits then i imagine it would've been advertised as the main focus of the update, so i doubt that is the case.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why are people freaking out or thinking we are getting glassless exhibits or that anything about the exhibits is changing?

The photos that Frontier is posting on their FB is supposed to be of "Steve" sighting them in the wild with his binoculars. Thus, so far, all the animals have been shown to appear like they're in the wild and not in a habitat or exhibit. I'm assuming same for the snake they are just purposefully making it look like it is being seen in its natural environment thus it'd be weird to use a picture that shows it behind glass.

Here is the first post Frontier made before posting the pictures. This is the "theme" of the pictures.

Steve is back and ready to go on another adventure! Let's join him!
☀️

Steve is setting up camp here in this scorched arid landscape in hopes of discovering some animals in the surrounding area!
Join the lookout and see if you can spot anything that will help with Steve's research!

I'm afraid to say I don't think there is anything special about the Snake not appearing behind glass it just literally fits the theme of their FB post. If you look at every animal so far, they exclude any manmade structures, walls, etc. in every photo.

It's just fun to speculate. I don't think anybody actually thinks we're getting null exhibits this update. It would be nice, but almost definitely not happening this time around.

Yea fair enough, I just didn't know if I missed something in an update or it has been spoiled some other way that this was happening. Because if the hype is literally just from them posting a FB picture with it not behind glass then I very seriously doubt their is any merit to the hype. It'd actually be fairly surprising and quite frankly disrespectful to the Snake and all exhibit animals if they broke their own theme of showing them in the wild in their natural habitat only to make the Snake's official photo one of it behind glass in an exhibit.

but they did the same with the walkthrough exhibit, they didn't tell us it gonna have a null option, I get where you all coming from but let's for the HOPE OF IT ALL

and I don't know why but the viper is one of my fav animals in the pack (of course not my fav there no any animal in the world that would be above Mr.Quilly lol) but I don't know maybe because I am a Snake Fan (BIG REPUTATION) so I really happy that we getting snake and also it's such a cool snake of course I want birds but let's continue hope. I guess...

Alright thats a little more interesting than just another Snake regarding the whole null exhibit idea. But I bet frontier is fooling us with their twisted magic, this must be the glass background of the exhibit and a great camera angle.

Narrow-Eyed one (on left) Slightly Wider (on right)

Both wider and more narrow like the in-game one has (since I was also wondering if the eyes weren't Round enough)

I originally agreed with the sentiment that the eyes are too spread out but wanted to make sure this wasn't a case of making that conclusion strictly off one individual cat that may just have narrow eyes. I've now found a few pictures of Sand Cat's with eyes that are set a bit wider apart. I'm back onboard with thinking the in-game model is perfectly fine. The narrow eyes do not seem to be a species wide trait but varies from individual to individual. Also I was starting to wonder if the eyes weren't round enough, but this also seems to be based on the individual where some have very round eyes and others have more narrow eyes.
