🍁 Planet Zoo: North America Animal Pack, coming 4 October 🍁

I have two things to say:
1. Trashpanda rebellion
2. Screw that rebellion, that lineup is amazing. I really like the curveball of the arctic fox, such a versatile animal. By far my favorite must be the Prariedog though, and i have a habitat that if i wouldnt know better could be belived to have been made for them!

Also for the european lovers, that pack also packs quite the punch.
Moose, beaver (who cares about the subspecies, looks the same) and arctic fox are 3 new european aditions, we are getting to a place where its actually viable to have a europe section 🥳

Raccoons are punching the air right now.

Exactly this. Was a bit stuck over what to do as my next zoo (all the notes for my planned zoo are now in storage and I don’t want to start over with them) but this pretty much seals the deal for Norway 🇳🇴.

I am so happy about this pack😍

The Sea Lion, Prairie Dog and the Arctic Fox are the animals I am most excited about(y) The other animals are also great, of course. Though I would have picked the Raccon over the Alligator, but thats just me, I guess😅 But still glad for the people who wanted them🙂

Anyways, I cant wait for the 4th and finally play with all those awesome animals🥳

I'm quite pleased that we're getting another Animal Pack! However, I think this roster is a bit of a miss compared to the first animal pack:
  • The preface, the moose; beaver; sea lion; and alligator are all fantastic additions that I eagerly look forward to!
  • The cougar is okay, though I think a bobcat or Canadian lynx would've been more better, as they have a much different physique compared to the cats were currently have in-game
  • The Arctic fox is supporting the tiring trend of canid additions to PZ, this time it's not even a new genus! Better than coyotes at least?
  • Everything wrong with meerkats is directly applicable to Prairie dogs and then some
  • The bullfrog is a very uninspired pick for an exhibit animal, especially when you have other options like hellbenders; snapping turtles; or axolotls - which brings me to my biggest complaint...
  • This only focuses on 2 countries! Only animals from Canada and the US are in this pack (sea lions have a bit of Mexican range but come on... these are California sea lions here). Nothing in the pack is from Mexico or Central America (which yes, is part of North America). No peccaries, no armadillos, no coatis, it's a very tame roster compared to what could be a lot more ambitious

I read the list of animals and rejoice with each one more. Arctic fox, beaver, prairie dog. Fantastic.

And I first had my personal doubts about a North American pack, whether it would be something for me.

Happy with DLC - Yes!

But it's sad to realize that the pack rule is dogs, and we're left without a bird again, which is very sad.

It's not an implication with the fox, it would be very welcome if you came in the arctic pack, the biggest implication is with that wolf.

a maned wolf coming in the future would be great, mainly because I'm South American, but this insistence on dogs prunes other equally iconic animals. I repeat, we are out of birds! Any waterfowl would be very welcome, for example: pelicans, spoonbills, Canadian geese or even the iconic wild turkey.

In addition to this review, I'm happy:

Beaver and Prairie Dog: finally rodents in the game!

California sea lion: the most requested animal for this package!

American Alligator: fantastic! We have rich species of crocodilians in the game.

Cougar: my dear sussuarana (in Brazil), best complement in the package.

Moose: iconic! And it contributes like a deer, a neglected family in the game since the first dlc.

American bullfrog: could be a salamander (we need more species for that aquatic exhibit), but it's acceptable.

The prairie dog, Arctic fox and to a lesser extent beaver and puma work well for small zoos too.
Depending on where your from, the moose does so as well. But honestly, these time all the animals are more on the cheap side, which i like. Its cool to have super exotic animals, but we also need those animals that are just like "jep, this is gras, lifes good"
