Planet Zoo: Twilight Pack arriving 18 Oct 🦇

I'll be buying it on release. The only one I didn't buy on release day was the Southeast Asia Pack because I was in a PZ slump at the time (ended up getting it together with the Africa Pack, and good thing, too - the sun bear is one of my favourite animals to build for).
I have to wait for the 25th to buy it... The 25th i will get the twilight and australia packs

I will buy the DLC in the first hours of the launch, because for me all the animals are welcome to the game and all the animals are useful for me in my two big principal zoos, one in the tundra and the other in the desert

Also I think the thematic pieces are a good option for everyone, I prefer to do thematic areas over a basic real life zoo imo

This game is for playing and have a good time :) , or at least that's I do
I don't like to be angry for a thing in a game, I prefer enjoy and be happy 😁

yeah i dont mind the pieces, but i am very excited for the plants

I love the new fence. I think this pack will go a long way in creating more old style buildings from central and northwest Europe... which is where I'm from so yay ❤️

Are those types of buildings common in zoos in your area because they don’t seem very zoo-like? (Genuine question - not being snarky).

Lots of zoos and wildpark-type places have a castle or manor house kind of building at their centre or entrances. Restaurants, admin buildings and maintenance yards are often in similar styles as well as animal houses. Plus older city zoos can have lots of this kind of architecture too.

Quite a few really. It’s been discussed a lot but off the top of my head and without looking at a list, here are some. Some are just bad, others more stylised than recent animals.

Malayan tapir (in a league of its own disappointment)

Male lion

Grizzly bear

Himalayan brown bear

Timber wolf

Bactrian camel

Even the jaguar is looking a bit off compared with more recent cats.
I would definitely include the female saltwater crocodile in there. They have the most anatomically/proportionally inaccurate model of any animal in the game. Approximately half of the total length in crocodilians is comprised of the tail, sometimes even more (1:1.2). In the game, this is properly demonstrated in the male saltie, but the female is roughly missing half of her tail.

Another issue is, female salties (similar to younger males) are not as robust and heavyset if you will, but I guess that can be explained away with stylization, so it isn't as big an issue as the former. Making the tail longer alone would partly remedy that issue anyway. Although I should note that the total length of the females in the game should not increase with a model facelift; meaning the additional part of the tail should not add to the total length.

They are in older zoos or in old zoo sections. Modernized or completely new zoos often don't, but it's common for them to be quite heavily themed. So I don't have a problem with a themepark-y feel. And in the case of the gothic-inspired style we're getting now, that's often incorporated in the everyday architecture around me, especially in older historical parts of cities and villages, so that doesn't feel themepark-y to me at all.

I’m really looking forward to using the architectural elements. I think the stone walls are especially useful to complement the existing dry stone and European walls. The new ones look better for actual buildings and I am going to try to recreate a building in the Edinburgh botanic gardens with them.

For me it is the Halloween themed pieces that are too theme park-y and pretty much un-useable for me.

Agreed. We don't celebrate halloween in the Netherlands so it's a foreign movie concept for me.

There are some pieces in the game I wish I could just delete because they are useless or ugly, for example the bunches of grapes … what on Earth are they thinking. They aren’t even 3D they are blobs.

The spider benches and tables are quite hideous too, if I’m honest they put me off the pack. Everything else looks so good I don’t understand it.

Very disrespectful to people that make them. Some people like them....and some dont, they cant please everyone.:)

I have always found them odd looking in-game, but not played around with them enough to notice it was this bad. Do we have a thread somewhere to highlight all the worst models? They tend to be brought to light in random places.

Maybe we can make a remodel meta-wishlist for Frontier reference?
