Planet Zoo: Twilight Pack arriving 18 Oct 🦇

Buuut to swing things back around, and into the realm of speculation, the notion that birds might actually be coming has me very concerned if there's only one pack left as I've feared. That means that potentially, these are the last traditional habitat species, the last mammals, being added to the game. I know none of us want that, but now it's going to be a lingering anxiety about the game until we figure out what's going on in December.
For me it is the opposite. Bringing birds and making Brand new mechanics like brachiation and flying is a potential sign for me that the game is far away from its end as it already was made last year by some people.

I took my moment and I want to evaluate the pack.

I absolutely love the animals. Never enough of NA/EU northern fauna, especially more common one.

But I guess this is the first pack I have a somewhat of a problem with and that's scenery. I really dislike how it looks and doesn't look like something I'll have use of in any way.

So this one is 50-50 for me. Animals are, I repeat, great, amazing choices. And flying exhibits is something I think I am unable to appreciate enough. A game changer

Amazing😍 I love all the animals for this pack, 3 of them were even on my wishlist and the skunk is an animal I never thought about before, but now I am really happy we get it and especially the inclusion of the bat shows that Frontier always has something new for us 🥳
(I just hope the bats will have a family tree and be able to be traded online in franchise😅)

While I will still dream about one day getting my beloved "sea pandas" in PZ, but so long I will greatly enjoy the trash panda and co.❤️

Well THIS was unexpected!! Bravo, Frontier. Looking forward to all the new critters!

I can see myself using all of these animals, and probably a lot of the new scenery too. 👀 Those twisty trees look amazing.

@Swjosdotschka I have to agree. I never thought birds would be full fledged habitat animals and will probably use a system very close to jwe. They may be given several animation loop options to make them seem more realistic. To me this is a win win. I think full fledged habitat animal like animations would be a heck of a lot of work and may not be possible but I guess will have to see. If I remember a video Rudi Rennkamel made he described the system frontier uses on its habitat animals saying they had several different animation options that make them seem more realistic. He explained it better then I can but I could see birds getting some options as well which should keep them fresh but still looped to certain degree for sure.

  • This type of exhibit would be a good solution for animals like sloths and tarsiers too if they won’t work as habitat species.
  • Good chance we’ll get more exhibit updates in the future. Perhaps a reptile house DLC next year with smaller exhibit boxes.
Haven't thought of this so now i'm even more excited about this new exhibit type :D

Also, new path, right?

I agree with you guys and I always expected flying animals to be in an exhibit kind of set up, with looped animations. Honestly, I’m entirely happy with that. Flight paths if they were habitat animals would have been an absolute mess.

I do hope that if we do get birds one day, we’ll be able to mix aviary species.

I wonder if the walk through exhibits also have viewing windows from outside, and how creatively we can decorate them inside?
