How is this Wetlands?

No - what I meant - is that beast a water/wetland animal - does it swim or something - not at all familiar with it - and it looks beautiful - but does it swim - surely it doesn't - interesting! I've never heard of it or seen one - will be interesting to see what it does in game, ;):)

Like I said, it lives in the wetlands and wades. I don't know if it swims, but I believe it may. Doesn't dive, though.

"...larger proportion of swamp grasses are consumed when the waters recede. They have the special capability to wade in shallow waters and swim in deeper waters, and may feed on young leaves from trees and bushes, rearing up to reach this green vegetation. Nile lechwe are also found in marshy areas, where they eat aquatic plants..."

This what I dug up from Wikipedia. Nothing too crazy. I was up until tonight sure these were the ones that dive and rest in water, but not apparently, that would be sitatunga

It's amazing that it looks like a African Savannah animal and yet it is a water/lover beast, that was my original reaction - shocked is all - beautiful picture though and the Frontier designed animal looks amazing - great job to the designers(y):)

the applause seems to me to be somehow exaggerated why is that? herd instinct? ^^
I fail to see a point in your comment. Do you want to trigger people or just call them out for herding?

I love the Nile Lechwe, I actually like unexpected additions to the game and am a big fan of antelopes so yes I would applaud this animal. The details, the resemblance to the real life animal, it's just uncanny, yet in a good Planet Zoo style so it fits. Big thumbs up from me!

Overall this animal pack is a really refreshing addition to the game, because it breaks the region pattern, adds some fan favorites but also some totally unexpected additions. For me this feels like a good animal DLC pack.

Only exaggerated thing i see is your negativity. Animals amazing, we happy, is that so weird?
Frontier has outdone themself with this pack and could even convince the meta list enthusiasts that the surprise picks (besides the still pretty neat caimans) are really nice to have. I would argue this is easily one of their best animal selections yet and easily in the five best packs, i can even totally see this being someones favourite.
So why should we not applaude them for this?

I wonder if the reason why the lion doesn't get a proper makeover is simply the fact that it is shown on the Planet Zoo main cover. They would change their front model with that. I mean, it would be an even better front model then, but maybe Frontier doesn't think so?
I think it is initially alot of effort for not really much outcome. Yes they adjusted the binturong model, but I feel that was a totally different situation, the outcry from the community was huge and could have potentionaly threatened the SEA DLC sales, whether adjusting the old base game models is probably not viewed as something that would make profit and they probably think adding new mechanisms is a better invested development time.

I personally do not have such huge problem with the lion model. It is stylized but it is still recognizible as lion, going so far as not using it because of the mane seems a bit drastic to me, but of course I am just one person so my views do not reflect whole community. Personally would prefer them adjusting sizes of some animals like Bactrian Camel, American Bison and Galapagos Tortoise. That seems to me like a reasonable easy enough fix.

Has anyone paid attention to this wildlife park in which they're streaming later? I can see a lot of inspiration for their earlier animal inclusions here.

Maybe we can expect one or two animals from here in our next packs?

I wonder why the choice of the hedgehog to be honest. I would love to think this would mean a future inclusion but I think this animal would be a problem regarding its size even if I love it
