I can't wait. I probably won't play the campaign all that much, as in these types of games I usually stick with playing sandbox mode, but this campaign mode sounds more interesting than games like Zoo Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon 2.

Can't wait! Already planned two days off the 6th and 7th . Never took a day off for a game, so you can imagine how hyped I am.

So, does this mean that we have everything in Sandbox Mode from the start, or are there buildings and animals locked behind the Career Mode?
I really hope everything is unlocked at the start, as I don't really like playing story mode in these types of games. I usually play them to build the best zoo in the world, so that would be kind of disappointing if I had to wait and finish the campaign before I could even touch sand box mode. However, since planet coaster had everything unlocked at the start, I think it should be safe to assume thats the case for this game.

I'm beyond excited for the career mode! I think the human models look absolutely adorable too, and these character designs are even more so.
Nancy sounds exactly like a lot of the head keepers I've worked with honestly! The team have obviously taken the time to talk with professionals in the industry to manage to really capture the no-nonsense, high-standards, "don't mess with my feeds!" sort of person that usually ends up in charge of animal sections at zoos!
Bernard is adorable and I can't wait to get the chance to work for him in career more
I'm suspecting that since there's more characters to introduce, once we move past the early 'tutorial' stage of the game, we'll meet even more characters and tread new grounds in our career. I'm particularly excited to see how the transition from first-time zookeeper to zoo director (I presume) will go!

I noticed in the email we got today that theirs a typo. It says, "that the Gamescom Gameplay Reveal will be on Wednesday 21 August at 7PM BST over on our YouTube Channel." ,but here on the forums it says, "that the Gamescom Gameplay Reveal will be on Tuesday 20 August at 7pm BST over on YT.".
Huh. Lately I haven't been reading the emails, since they haven't had any email exclusive things lately. Most of the stuff in the email is recapping things revealed on twitter and youtube, or on the forums.
Thanks for reporting this, I've made the community managers aware of the email but haven't heard back from them at this point.

I, and I think many more people like to just build my own zoo, without quests, but also to have some challenge, meaning limited resources, needing to do reasearch etc.
Really hoping planet zoo will have a mode similar to this.

Hello, I am not so much interested in all those kind of games like planet coaster and planret zoo. I saw it more like something for my kids, because I thought they would like it and I want them to play games that are more then just shoot&kill each other.
The ultimate goal for a game for me is to entertain and teach the same time without encouraging violance... so for this reason games like this should get far more attention...
But the career mode sounds interesting, nice characters and a story could tempt me... I need to see this!
