Played for an hour

I had in the background the video from deladysigner (equivalent of one tribunal in elder scrolls for planet coaster map authors, not exaggerating) and she mentioned the power comes from substations, not just the poles?

That's it. Done. It's planet Coaster all over again. Far too awkward UI and not enough help in using it. I can't even wotk out how to hook up power to my ranger station.

Enjoy your fifty quid, FD.

Really???? I find it very intuitive, put a substation next to you ranger station and connect the cables to the existing network.

AI seems very intuitive and easy to navigate, particularly if you're inquisitive and click on absolutely everything to have a look around

Power is easy to manage. Put a substation down, connect it to power cables that are connected to your power stations and make sure your buildings are within the substation radius (which comes up as a yellow circle when you go to place buildings)

If you've only played an hour then refund it if the game's not for you

Looking at the crashing, glitches, confused release times, lack of content and disappointment being reported, it looks like this launch has been a bit of a disaster. Glad I waited to see, probably going to wait for a deep discount and some patching (if at all). GG FD.

Keep playing and you will get used to it. It's much better than Planet Coaster when it comes to putting down park structures. I am have an issue with the fences. But it's a case of the more you do it the better you get at it.

Now I have to stop playing the game and posting on here and try and go to sleep so I don't feel like a zombie all day. lol

I played it for an hour last night, I love it, it just feels right. Owen's voice aside!

It did take me a couple of minutes to work out how to connect the power up. I'd forgotten to join the paths.

Planet Coaster I do agree. It was horrible. Not even close to the old Tycoon games. I honestly does not know a friend that liked it, and we are a bunch who enjoy this genre, who likes Planet Coaster.

Im at vacation. Just bought the game, but not yet tried it. Hopefully i'll get some hours tonight.

Not too sure how you can say that. Steam reviews are very good, most official reviews are good, most people seem to really like the game from what I can tell, with a very few people that are disapointed. It looks like an overwhelming success so far.

These are just my observations so far.

This has to be the only game where I actually like the UI, it is very intuitive and not crowded with too much info just what we need in my opinion...

Your sources? From what I've seen, the launch has been quite the success.

Honestly not sure where you're getting any of that. I'm on the X1X and I have not had a single glitch, bug, or crash yet. The game looks incredible in 4k and the release time was clear as day on the Xbox store. I played for 4 hours last night and have not left the first island. I wanted to get the rating as high as possible before moving on. I don't think I'll feel a lack of content for some time.

"It's Planet Coaster all over again"
So it's a higly praised park managment game that got stellar reviews all over the internet and is considered the best in its kind, taking the place of older and now dead franchises? Because that's what Planet Coaster seems to be.

" I can't even wotk out how to hook up power to my ranger station"
The problems of the game are others, that's something you can figure out in the first 5 minutes

I'm just reading around, looking at the Steam discussion, a few discussions on various sites. It will be interesting to see what is said after a few days when the release excitement is over.

I have no doubt that people are enjoying the game, but many of the criticisms seem all too familiar, and I just don't like to waste money - especially if I get the impression that something might not be worth the price. I will wait and see.

Give up after an hour? Wow.

Anyway, ask for a refund if you bought it on Steam; there's a 2 hour limit. Not sure how refunds work on consoles if you're a console player.
