Just a quick question, is it possible to just use your phone for head tracking?

Enjoy chaps
... and it would be much better than cardboard:
I assume you'll be playing with your phone clenched between your teeth.![]()
You need to stop opentrack before play elite, Opentrack is only to enter Elite in tracking mode. It shoud be turned off before playing.
How are people finding keeping them on their heads? I saw the video and the idea of the eye protection is good, I just wondered if it causes the cardboard to cut in to your head or if anyone had another solution?
OK folks, some update here. You streaming horizontal squizzed image. There is workaround. (Thanx to Nicus for help)
1) add custom resolution - 1920x2160 (nvidia - in nvidia panel, ati- in registry)
2) in DisplaySettings.xml put 1920x2160 nad set to windowed mode
3) set SBS in game
4) run stream in trinus as always, without fake3d
5) enjoy SBS without horizontal squeeze
the plastic version of google cardboard looks interestingAlso, where's the best place to order the google cardboard kit?
Very, very interesting. I just received my Durovis headset and bought a Nexus 5 to go along with it. I managed to get it "kinda working". The tracking is quite good and the immersion is so-so.
I will try your settings above cause I felt mine made the planets look egg-shaped and rotating the craft around a station twisted and contorted the space stations. Felt like I was on mushrooms having a bad dream...
