Please can I have your combat stats

Question for @heavymetaltcup @Ziphnor @Halion Chone @DoubtOutLoud and @Mad Doctor X.......

Have any of you had unclaimed credits which you have then lost due to ship destruction by bug or otherwise??

Rank = Dangerous
Bounties claimed = 1826
Profit from bounties = 13,460,162
Combat Bonds = 1178
Profit from combat bonds = 4,732,000
Assassinations = 0
Profit from assassinations = 1,791,282
As yet unclaimed bounties (as not near relevant systems) = 22,500
Unclaimed due to loss of ship in excess of 1,000,000

Guys, there are as for me about 10% of kills that are not in statistics. Any ship that is destroyed and had no bounty for example in anarchy without KWS is count for combat stats but is not displayed anyway. Maybe it the source of the messing up with those stats?

Read it and weep. My numbers are lower than most people's. I don't do anything weird like attack only Expert+ enemies. I'll blow up any wanted ship, even a Harmless Hauler with just a 450cr bounty. The one death had maybe 20-30k worth of uncashed bounties, that happened pretty early on.

@cowasaki: No, I cashed in every combat profit I ever made.

I suspect that absolute profit tresholds do play a major role. Maybe CMDR Cillian Raynor can watch the 1,750,000 mark? :)

This is true. Lets hope he can. This thread was opened as a way of trying to work it all out as a group. The more data we have the better it gets.

Nothing to weep about. What I do question is why some who don't care what they target, made less in bounties and killed less overall can rank faster. With FD not wanting to tell us anything about the ranking system and how so much of the game is broken my bet is this is broken also.

Rank: Expert
Bounties Claimed: 238
Profit From Bounties: 1,719,614 CR
Combat Bonds: 337
Profit From Combat Bonds: 3,364,000 CR
Assassinations: 0
Profit Fron Assassinations: 1,524,510 CR
Higest Single Award: 192,320 CR

Plus about 96,000 CR in unclaimed bounties.

Oh BTW if it's of any interest, I'm pretty certain my last promotion came when I was still out there shooting stuff. I have died only twice and both were in a Cobra or smaller so not much bounty on board (some, though).

All the people that are really picky about only attacking competent and above and have 700 more kills than me but stay lower ranked are probably weeping. As for why they don't advance as fast, who knows for sure besides FD? Maybe there is a combo bonus for killing many enemies in rapid succession and letting that Mostly Harmless Hauler go breaks it or Anarchy bounties could count more than normal ones in patrolled systems. If you KWS a criminal in a non-anarchy it probably only counts as 1 kill even though you get 2 bounties. *shrugs*

So it appears Combat Bonds carry more weight.

Rank: Deadly
Bounties: 440
Profit from Bounties: 3,304,730
Combat Bonds: 3,636
Profit from Combat Bonds: 22,913,000
Assassinations: 0
Profit from Assassinations: 421,723
Highest Single Reward: 198,112

So since I can't edit my own posts (what the heck?), I'll make another post with some additional thoughts.

I really think you get a certain "score" for each kill. This score is determined by the ship type (1 pt for SW, 10 pts for Conda) and the pilot skill (1 for harmless, 10 for elite).

Once you're "combat score" reaches a certain threshold, it ranks you up, however the kills don't count until you cash in the relevant bonds or bounties.

If they are I wouldn't blame them. Rank should take into account the skill of your opponents. Someone who only kills equal or greater should rank faster than someone who farms harmless sidewinders at the nav point.....

The kills count immediately. I took that screen shot when my rank flipped to Dangerous in the middle of a battle, you can see my PDTs with expended ammo and one of my lasers in thermal overload.

That's odd. I've always had a delay to increase rank. I didn't get the rank up until I turned in the bounties / bonds.

It must calculate based off kills and pay outs. Where you simply ranked because of kill quality and I ranked up due to pay out (at least on some of my ranks).

If you look at my two entries you will notice that there is the same value for bounties for both but the novice one has unclaimed bounties. I went to the nav point and killed several wanted checking the rank as I went. I got my rank up whilst at the nav point.

The figures do not support you getting 1 point for Sidewinder and 10 for Anacondas or anything like that. If it was like that then there would be a vastly larger spread. The rank is either:

Total kills (wanted, combat bonds, assassinations, anarchy and murder) but you cannot see murders, anarchy or assassinations hence there being a slight spread.

OR

Total kill credits for bounties, combat bond profits, assassination profits and bounty equivalents for kills killed in anarchy and murder with the anarchy and murder ones invisible again hence there being a slight spread

Either of the above would support what we are seeing and the second one would effectively give you a faster rank up for harder targets.
