If you want to give feedback, hop on over to the proper thread and ask about the intended consequences of the, and I have to repeat the word here, considerations that are made towards AI. You are almost straight-out accusing Frontier of "dumbing down" the game, even though that's the polar opposite of their declared goal.
I'm so very very tired of the "git gud" crowd sitting in their Robigo-exploit-funded "endgame" ships crying over how easy the game has become and shouting down everyone else while there are (or now hopefully were) some very valid concerns over issues encountered by not so endowed people. Did you try hopping in a badly equipped Eagle with not too much experience and have some shooty fun? I'm sure the Master Viper talking to you through the business end of a Plasma Accelerator would like to tell you some things about "balancing" and a "fun experience".

I am not talking about early game , but what I have seen.
I cant talk about early game because even if I reset I would not be on the same level as a new player.
I have been playing elite dangerous sins about prenuim beta in 2014. played it every single day after work and as much as I could on weekends.
I never used exploits and role play in the game , that means that I only do things if it fits my in game motif.
I fly mostly Type-7s My vulture and from time to time my good old eagle and viper for old nostalgia.
I am not saying the game should be impossible but saying that high ranked NPCs (Master to elite) should be hard , no matter your rank.
Maybe have them ignore low ranks most of the time? (that could make sens in lore as well actualy)
However I am fine with low NPCs being dumb and just plain easy , but the High level NPCs should be hard for everyone who fights them.
Running away is a valid thing to do in elite and even when the weapons were buged it was possible.
Maybe there is a generation or taste thing going on , I remeber X-tension the game started with you in the worst possible build.
Terrible weapons that could do nearly no damage , no protection so you died in one or two hits and not nearly the ammount of cargo hold to make a profit.
You had to rise from that impossible situation to become giant. it was hard , it was slow but you felt so badasp when reached that stage in the game , when you finaly were on top of everything. (then it became easy and needed mods)
I have nothing against your opinion , you or even those who want the game easyer , but I noticed that the audiance who want to nerf the AI seem very hostile and borderline abusive.
Telling the hardcore players they have no life , and other such nonens.
In game I have helped many new gamers , I give free wares to them when need be.
The game should be fun for everyone , that includes me. I have been petioning for a AI that can kick my asp for a long time. it happened , and it looks like its fading away.
Just in case my expression sucks more than black hole , I agree low ranks should be easy , however high ranks should be insane , and new players should run away when they see them (maybe have a vocal warning when they spawn?)
