Please, make kerbs on paths toggleable!

From a neutral position about kerbs...
We should keep this message in mind.
It says that they actually aren't working on this, but it doesn't say that they definitely won't do so somewhen in the future...

Exactly....but there is no timeframe or guarantee on it. So nobody should get there hopes up, if kerbs is a dealbreaker, lay the game to the side and revisit in a year or so.

What I don't understand is why there is a toggle in the first game but not in 2. It could have been done but the PC2 team didn't.

Nobody understands this and this is also the reason people are losing trust in Frontier.

Not being transparent about something like this is exactly what makes people lose faith in the game.

It just does not make sense in any way how they cannot make a simple part or texture transparent suddenly.

There is no logical or technical explanation that could explain it. There are alpha (transparent) textures, but yet suddenly they cannot be added for the curbs?

It just does not make sense and is highly unlikely that this is the case or actual reason why it isn't added.

WE DID IT FOLKS!!!! NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!

This shows that Frontier IS listening to us. I'm now feeling much more confident that this game is going to be a huge improvement over PC1. I can't wait to see how the game continues to develop and looking forward to the DLCs. Although, I have no idea what they're planning for those. But if they continue to listen to the community, we'll be getting the game we've all hoped for.

I'm glad they finally adding the option to remove kerbs but i'm not gonna pretend they are doing us a huge favor. This was something that had to be in the game from day 1.

Yes i'm happy that they are finally gonna add it, but i'm not happy that we had to ask them for 8 months and it was ignored for so long and deemed not important enough.

I was hard pushing this since releasy and never gave up and was told to stop re-posting about it......Here we are..
Yeah of course it was always a load of ... that it wouldn't be technically possible, everyone with basic computer knowledge knew this. And seeing how it was possible in PlanetCoaster1 and PlanetZoo it was just impossible that it would be impossible. But yeah, giving the feedback all this time did help. And seeing how everyone is happy with the implementation proves that our feedback over the past months wasn't for nothing.

I am actually starting to be a little glad the game was in such a bad state at launch. How many of these features do you think would be completley missing if the game had laucnhed in a complete state?

Take invisible paths. Could they be because of Tagi and his videos?

They never said it wasnt possible! They always said they werent being worked on at the time! Its very diffferent.

Im not sure exactly where it was but I remember them saying about it not being possible or something. That's why there was such a backlash from the community.

I think that was a miss communication. A dev replied to a post on a Steam thread saying they werent able to do them to the standard they were happy with right now, so they werent being worked on.

I think a lot of people took that as a "its too hard so we are not doing it"

Well anyway, i'm glad we've finally gotten it. It makes me more optimistic for the future of the game.

Im slowly changing my opinion about the entire launch of the game now tbh.
Almost everything that has been asked for has been added and if we got a finished game at launch, im not sure we would have got things like the invisible paths etc.

If the game has as long a life as the other Planet games, i think this game is going to have everything we have all been asking for.

It may take time but im here for it now.

Same, I think the only thing that really is a bit of a letdown is that it's still console orientated in terms of UI/controls. Like multi select requires extra steps.

And Steam Workshop.

Im starting to have hope that all of these things will get worked on over time.
Im not sure about the UI. It may be a bit late for that now. But i can look around that if the game its self is good.

My biggest frustration was having a moment of creativity only for the game to say no and put up unnecessary restrictions. And the many missing features.

There is still a few things missing (Vista/Photo op posts, Staff training, hotels) but i now have hope that not only will these things come, they will be expanded upon also. And possibly even be different to how they would have been if in the game at launch as Frontier get to see how people actually play the game.

What is the Corlolis ride? Is it a coaster because it doesn't say flat ride? What happened to Trident? It's now Vector - Return Mk II. Aren't we getting any returning flats in May or June? At least they are doing a kerb toggle for Update 5. I want triggerable animated gates for railroad crossings. We had them as TMTK objects in PC1. With a kerb toggle, it will be easier to make railroad crossings with the tops of the rails at path level. 2 still has a long way to go to reach the quality of PC1 with all the missing PC1 rides. But, PC1 does not have working water slides and pools like RCT3 and PC2. And PC1 does not have a flying carpet type ride like RCT3 and PC2 where the platform remains upright.

They didnt say it was impossible (Or at least I never saw them say it somewhere). They said it was difficult to do in a good way up to the quality standards. Thats why they said it was not (yet) in the cards.

They also said they were very aware of the request.
