PLEASE MAKE POWERPLAY IN "OPEN ONLY"

I want the majority to experience a better game
.... and, apparently, Frontier are "well aware" that the majority of players don't get involved in PvP, even though a "significant majority" of players play in Open (while Solo and Private Groups also enjoy "significant portions" of the player-base.

Not sure that that supports Open only anything in the context of the majority experiencing a better game.

But PvP equals harder opposition, especially since PP NPCs don't (as far as I can see) have any engineering perks. Hence, its not equal, and why Sandro considered two methods to even things out.
Less than half of the copies of the base game sold have a corresponding copy of Horizons - which might suggest that the majority of players don't have access to Engineers.

He did indeed suggest two methods - one in March'16 that came to nothing; one in May'18 that has, as yet, come to nothing. There are problems with both methods.

So you are inferring then that the different modes have various difficulties? If thats the case what is the reward for playing in the harder mode? Is it weighted merits, or locking modes?
You know I don't care if Frontier make NPC harder. I would love that. At least I can still do Power Play with out pay to play. So it could suite both our needs.

Have you ever though Sandro started looking at people who have no Subscription and drop the idea?

Which is meaningless because it does not detail anything about PP stats. Whats a majority in this case, and what proportion of them play PP and in what mode, earning what sort of merits? (fort / UM / expansion etc).

Do not misunderstand, I get how paying the online subscription sucks, but it has nothing to do with oopp and should not influence this game`s development.
There's no requirement for any console player to pay a sub to the platform provider to engage in Powerplay at the moment. PvP-gating Powerplay to Open would change that, effectively removing access to the feature for those console players who do not enjoy premium platform access.

I guess you are using google translate as I am having some hard time interpreting your post right.
You know my writing might be bad. But my point still solid. I don't want to pay to play

If I were in your position I would do whatever I can to change platform (hard as I would not have chosen a restrictive platform such as ps or xbox in the first place) because I believe open only powerplay would be more engaging and entertaining to me.
Maybe you should look at the cost of a PC. Then we talk.

It has everything to do with oopp. I play it and you want it taken away from me. How hard is that to understand?

The response was aimed at the stated motive of the user posting, i.e. "I want the majority to experience a better game".

But engineers exists. The new CZs exist with engineered opposition, nearly every high end assassin mission has engineered opponents. Its a bit late for the one small corner called Powerplay.

There are problems with both approaches, but they will need to choose eventually or give us a new choice from something else.

Access to Engineers is not enabled for more than half of the copies of the game sold.

CZs, like assassination missions, are optional.

Or, Powerplay moves into the multiplayer bracket of the game, like the other multiplayer parts and actually becomes a decent feature.

Which majority?

From the stats FD have, we get that there is a majority playing in open, with a proportion of them not firing a shot. Now, what proportions of each of these players play Powerplay, in what mode, earning what merits?

While Frontier may have indicated that the majority play in Open they were silent on how many players play in Open exclusively - mode selection has always been up to the user.

Frontier remain silent on how many players actually engage in Powerplay (other than indications that it's not many) and haven't said much, if anything regarding the mode distribution of those players.

but it is them who are charging money to play online not fd or elite dangerous to play powerplay in open. I cannot believe you grab any argument even the silliest to oppose oopp.
The point is that there is no requirement at this time for a console player to have premium platform access to be able to engage in Powerplay, as it is available in all game modes. Those seeking to PvP-gate Powerplay don't seem to care about that much, if at all.

Well with 3 years of game play. I collected the Power play Modules I like. Some seem kinda lame. Now working on Li Yong-Rui. The Exploration data buff seems pretty good. Before this I was with Zachary Hudson for bounty bonus. All in Solo Mode.

So if the modules are moved to tech brokers then you can speed up your acquisitions, and earn a lot more cash thanks to the new money making opportunities? Unless you are actively helping the power you won't actually miss anything, in fact it might make your game better,
