Nothing in the rules to stop Moderators expressing their opinions in threads that they do not Moderate, in that we are no different from other users.

A Developer suggested it as a possible outcome in an investigation that was also clearly stated not to be a fait accompli. It was only ever a possibility.
Be a pretty lousy gig if you weren't allowed to participate....not like you're getting paid for it.

Of course a moderator can be pro or anti OOPP. The can be pro or anti PvP. They can be pro or anti long ship transfer times.
What happens if the mods are not allowed to express their opinions, either you end up with no moderators, or you have to allow the mods to have alt accounts on which to express their opinions. The latter is worse, because then you have no idea if their alt accounts are being treated fairly by the other mods. At least if a mod posts something they really shouldn't, its clearly a mod. What happens if User XYZ keeps getting away with posting things they shouldn't, but its being protected because they are a mod alt account?
I fully support mods being able to express their opinions from their mod accounts, because the alternative is much worse.

There is a world of difference between disagreeing with someone and dismissing their opinion. You have repeatedly in this thread demonstrated you do not care for the opinions of those you disagree with.
Rubbernuke and I have had multiple disagreements over the years regarding Powerplay, and yet i always try and give his arguments a fair read and response and do not tell him his opinion is worthless.
As great as this all is, can we keep this on topic?

Yup, but he isn't allowed to moderate any discussion he is involved in. Which is any that might improve the game from the tired old kickstarter docs.

I too want changes made to the game - however I acknowledge that not all players would see them as an improvement.

...........and what are the odds of meeting said 'opposer'. This argument has been proved a myth, over a number of threads on this subject. You cannot guarantee, that you will ever meet them. Even if you play, on all of the available platforms, simultaneously. Thinking that you can and will, is naive at best. Therefore those trying to sell open only P/P on these grounds, is promoting a lie and offering false hopes; to the genuine PvP power players.
Power play is arguably not about organising players though so that element is pretty moot.
Irrelevant - does not change the fact that PP provides different gameplay.
Squadrons are a means to organise CMDRs, Powerplay is a means to engage in a form of true territorial gameplay that CMDRs can influence, the BGS is just the baseline simulation. They each serve a different purpose, it is irrelevant whether you personally think the combination of Squadrons with the BGS provides superior gameplay.
