Or... you could just fly at full throttle and then reduce to the blue zone at 7 secs.

If you want something to do leave it on full until 5 seconds then set to zero, pass as close below the body or station as possible, pull hard up on the stick and set throttle to half until the hollow indicator turn solid, then hit three quarters throttle again, with a little practice you can save ten seconds or more on your approach this way. I mean why sit there and wait when you can be flying a spaceship!
I must admit it can get a bit tricky when you are doing it around a gas giant with rings or a lot of moons, but that's half the fun working out the safest way to pull a flying loop. People call it the loop of shame, that's badly labelled, it's only shameful if you do it badly and by accident, if you do it well it's very satisfying.
