Happy to be of service :)

I currently use a HOTAS Warthog Joystick and throttle. Interestingly there are or appear to be three devices. Joystick/Throttle and programmable hotkeys. The numbers for reference are;

PKeys : V=0x06A3 P=0x5081
Joy : V=0x044F P=0x0402
Throttle : V=0x044F P=0x0404
These appear to be listed although I not sure it is clearly stated these appear together.

I'm still finding that keys defined on the Joystick overwrite Throttle keys and via versa.
I will also be using Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals when they get here :) I've seem them listed here.

I would like to see the configuration of these devices present the right name when assigning key and axis, the two devices use the same numbering scheme currently. It would also help if the current key mapping displayed at the bottom of the screen (which it did do in a couple of versions of Alpha ED.)

Would also like a complete list of keys so I can assign landing gear. fuel scoop etc. While I'm on that subject Can we have some telltail indication on the main ship screen that indicates when the landing gear/fuel scoop are deployed. Currently I only find out when I try to Jump.

Thanks guys this game is looking fantastic! Now all I have on my wish list is an Oculus Rift should be able to save up for the retail version in time :D

I'll post what I want to use: Everyone is using a joystick for ED and SC (HOTAS generally) as if we are flying atmospheric fighters. I want a better control system, one more suited for non-atmospheric flight where I can shift into Newtonian control easily.

What i want to use is this:
Right hand gaming mouse, such as this one
http://www.cyborggaming.com/prod/rat7.htm

which has a decent number of buttons. Right hand controls pitch, yaw. Ideally the controller setup would be like that used in 'War thunder's' arcade mode. Ship's nose turns to point where the controller is aimed. It is a much better mouse control mode than either virtual joystick or drag.

Left hand:

Left hand controls yaw + x,y,z lateral thrust + various buttons

I think this control setup would be far superior to any joystick / throttle setup thats suited for atmospheric flight, but as far as I can tell, noone sujpports it. Be the first!

Everyone please use "Search this thread" function in order to find if your device Product and Vendor IDs were already posted in this thread. Devs ask for unique IDs that are not posted yet, these might easily be lost between the posts containing repeating information.

I am very disappointed by the fact that a lot of people with "Mostly Harmful" status write their first posts giving information about their devices that are already mentioned in this thread numerous times. Why can't you read the first post of this thread where it is specifically written to post unique IDs.

There is no need to post Vendor and Product IDs for X52(Pro), X55, Thrustmaster Warthog, T16000.M and lots of others devices again and again.

So please use "Search this thread" prior posting your device IDs it is not that difficult.

I use 2 joysticks. The GamesPower one appears as USB Joystick in the devices in Win7. It also supports vibration feedback which isn't being used in ED.
