Please turn off Collision Detection on Scenery.... PLEASE!!

If you turn this off.. we can do a lot more stuff.. such as blend the new river rapids better.. .. decorate flat rides... etc..

This is now a must have guys..

Come on, you're killing us here with restrictions.

if enough of us ask.. then at least they will see it's wanted.. so everyone make sure to let them know by +1ing or agreeing.. commentng etc.. let our voices be heard

Or something more nuanced, such as specifying that some track pieces allow scenery clipping and others don't, although of course that's probably not a very simple change. Then things like the river rapids could allow the placement of rocks while other pieces, such as coaster tracks, have more sensible restrictions (preventing you from barricading the track, for instance)

I'm inclined to agree with this, if only because Frontier has been fantastic with trusting us to a ton of power and flexibility thus far. If they've shown anything with Planet Coaster, it's been a tremendous amount of respect for our ability to make judgement calls on what does and doesn't look right. Considering some scenery can already intersect the track on accident (I've had coasters go through trees) and I made adjustments, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to just remove it altogether and let us judge whether the intersection is appropriate. We can already do that with scenery to scenery collisions.

It's not exactly based per volume of response, I keep an eye on this stuff regardless of how popular or unpopular it is.

Regardless, it's something i've passed along.

Even if it's an option you could toggle on and off under settings. Adding it as a "cheat" would make it seem like it's cheating when it's sort of not. It's more so an element of trust. I can imagine some people wouldn't feel comfortable knowing the game lets them do things they probably shouldn't do, but for a lot of us, the option would be appreciated. [praise]

As with the increased map size, it's not simply the case of it was only implemented because of a number of posts expressing their dissatisfaction with how it was. Realistically it was always something they were contemplating but had no reason to include it until just before full release once they were satisfied with their game optimization. Following on from Brett's post, If the devs think it's a decent idea and most importantly of all it's a FEASIBLE one they will look to accommodate. "Spamming" with +1s etc. isn't a guaranteed way of getting your point across/your voice being heard resulting in them adding the requested feature.

Agreed. As far as I could tell, the issue with the title screen preventing us from playing until it finished connecting was something that only popped up in the forums one time and it was addressed in the very next update.

They know we want (insert here Need/Pray/Having Naighmares about...) this feature.. is been demanded since Alpha 1 xd

I definitely agree that there should be no collision detection between rides and scenery objects. Especially tracked rides like the River Rapids. I was SO disappointed to see that I couldn't line the sides of the ride with rocks to make it look like what nearly ALL River Rapid rides look like in real theme parks.

The problem of whether an object is blocking the track is easy to solve (I think). If an object that today would be disallowed because it intersects the track is placed then simply make it that the coaster or ride has then got to be re-tested. If it then crashes because the object is in the way so be it the object(s) will need to be moved but if it doesn't crash then it should be ok?!
Totally agree that we should be able to add rocks by the river rides.

what I really want for the Rapids is a track width adjustment like the paths. Minimum 6m largest 16m or similar and that way we can really play with the design. I then want track collision off for rocks and logs however for collision detection on for the boats so they bounce of the rocks and logs etc. Waterfalls to be added later would be awesome too.

By way rocks can go along the edge and over the lip of the track a little, you just need to get the angle right.

Absolutely. (May be) there should be a safe space for the ride to operate in, as to where guests and the ride itself is moving, but the rest should be collision free. But then again with the teacups, i think it is viable to hide the centerpiece of the ride behind walls, panels, whatever as it is not mandatory for the ride.

Anyway, any easing on the collision detection is welcomed :)
