Please turn off Collision Detection on Scenery.... PLEASE!!

Good luck building over the kraken pit in the second scenario with these restrictions in place. The coaster is 20 feet from the farthest any tentacle goes out, minimum, and the game won't let me put anything above the pit. Because it's "obstructed".

Come on Frontier make this happen! we need track switches, at least let us intersect tracks with no collision detection!!!

Also begging for this. There is literally no reason to restrict us from toggling collision. I want to build a path through the genie ride. Iw ant to put lights on top of thrill rides. I want to run coaster tracks way too close together, and make teh connie express cross itself and paths.

I don't care if guests wlak right through it, it would look cool, and more importantly, this was base game functionality in RCT3. Let us turn off clipping!

yes exactly that is what i want too. That i cant do it kills the whole setting of the park

Yes! Yes! Yes! The hitboxes for some things are ridiculous in this game! Especially flat rides, why shouldn't I able able to place a few barrels within the border of the ride?

I just hope for a ''creative mode'' where the hitboxes are disabled so we can go all out in what is purely a creative game (forget management)

I tried putting lights on top of the hammer swing, and the hitbox for the topmost beam extends a good 10m above it. It makes no sense.

I'm with you guys about all your suggestions :) collision detection is frustrating when you want to build specific things...

The worst so far is the Flying Carpet ride.... :'( Sam said on Alpha 1 that will be fixed and finally the ride still having a huge path platform under and is ugly to use that ride. "The other game" has got some little path platforms , so it's possible to do that.....

And finally, as a player of Coaster Crazy I was and as fan as that game was to play, I miss soon much a lot of pieces in roller coasters like switches, special ones like rail changers, pushers.. etc. As its happening with the log flume;

Modern log flumes are made and build with a lot of special pieces to make theme much more fun! Just take a look at Phantasialand please; The River Quest is awesome as all the special pieces in Chiapas's too.
For sure greatest water rides in Europe and there are a lot of details missing on them: For example, all , and I mean ALL Log Flume falls are designed to make the vagon drop on wheels on the drops while the latter coming down is a Simulation with less Water and, as I say, simulating a waterfall .

I guess in a future we will see maybe an advanced asset of pieces for those.

Don't misunderstand me! I'm in love with the game by the way and so happy with the details and love with practically all flats and rides, job is incredibly good. Just I mean those rides could be improved to be totally mind blowing .

Seriously I hate this. Why restrict something like this. I mean paths doesn't have it (for object at least) and people use the game fine. Same with rotating all pieces. It was proven possible in alpha 2 but they removed it . Dont they realise that it willd give us a lot more freedom. I have been whining a lot and mostly because of this because it's something simple to allow that they choosed not to despite the popular request. Not to mentione they're terrain colision is completly wack. it doesn't even come close to being a the right distance.

80% of my post here are complaint and this is the main reason. Unecessary restriction that they put despite the comunutiry not wanting them.

I can't even play the game right now, but that's a great suggestion. It would open so many possibilities:

  • Building propper custom supports on coasters.
  • Integrate rides to a certain theme.
  • Blending rides with the environment.

Frontier, you've done a great job so far. Please, listen to us and remove the scenery collisions on coasters and rides :(

Honestly the log flumes are so bad right now, I can't even play with them right now. Mainly because they are rushed as well, the auto tunneling for them is awful, you can't sink them into the ground like the river rapids, and just everything else that you can't do with them, can't do a proper double drop which is pretty much used in every park, no boat rotating pieces, etc etc. I hope they really re-do them as they feel so rushed its sad.

I agree. I have noticed, in terrain tab, there is an option to turn on/off scenery restrictions, but it seems to me, it´s not working [sour] For example, when i wanted to to some terrain adjustments around the path, it didn´t allow me to do anything close to path and building next to it. And I have tried to turn it off and on, but no results :(

Occurs to me the sensible solution is to have a tick box while creating a sandbox park to enable or disable collision detection.

It should remain on for career & challenge but I'm fine with it being toggleable on Sandbox mode.
