Newcomer / Intro Plot route with jump boost

Hi folks,

I recently saw in the FSD that I can manufacture some kind of boost, and then I saw in the route plotter to use level 1 boost. However, when I try to plot the route it always fails.

Is there a way to use the boost to plot a quicker route?

I am willing to manufacture the boost at each star along the route, I have plenty of materials.

Like Para said, you gotta do one jump at a time. You can't plot an entire route. You can still save a lot of time, or reach otherwise unreachable places, but it's more of a manual effort.

Its not worth wasting jump materials if your just bimbling around the galaxy, only use them if your trying to reach a specific place ie the outer edges of the black.
EDSM has course plots for this stuff which is really helpful and will tell you distances between the systems.

The problem is, you generate the boost but until you select the star to jump to the ship route plotter has no idea how far you are going to jump on your fist hop, so it can't plot a route. Now keep in mind you can use the boost not only for jumping a long way, but also for reducing fuel use for short jump in case you get stuck with low fuel, so it's not as straightforward as the route plotter that always tries to get the maximum jump range for your jumps. It could probably be programmed to work like the route plotter, but it works fine as is, most player only use it to do a single jump at a time to a star out of range of normal jumps so it's not a big deal.
