Very good suggestion +1 from me,
numbering or directly labelling coordinates is a no brainer.

When there are more poi's of the same kind on one planet then numbering them after mapping the planet would help to discern which ones you visited and which not.
Just a single discription without a unique marker would make it very hard to keep them apart imho.
Adding a marker like coordinates after visiting the poi would help too in this case, just something to be able to see which ones you visited or not.
