Police/bounty hunting gameplay enhancements

Had an idea after seeing how easy and unpunished murdering feels in ED.

To stimulate pvp, the possibility to work with the system factions with a structured way of enforcing the law better than the current bounty hunting system based only on scanning.

A new profession to have fun which leverages the changes with the notoriety system making it possible for players to have a list of the player killers with important infos such as ship used, last seen systems, a notification when someone reports a crime and so on.

Even a siren to put on your ship! hehe.

Could be integrated in the current not so exciting mission system to spice things up (nice rewards) and try to give more "body" to the current C&P system.

Conversely, the opposite profession of the pirate or assassin. Where pirate clans or pvp groups like sdc roa etc. have a list of bounty hunters who git gud :D and get missions from their factions to eliminate them and a nice reward in case they succeed.

These missions might even be created from scratch by players and offered from squadrons.

Even better, missions to overthrow factions and give more sense and flow to the BGS.

This might make open pvp a lot more engaging and bring less useless drama and make pvp enjoyable for many more cmdrs.

this actually sounds interesting, especially if players could add credits to the bounty that those undertaking these missions would earn. would give a new way for wealthy non combat pilots to support the elimination of senseless murder, but could have a reverse effect of players placing bounties on innocents. perhaps have these bounties automatically generated against those with high notoriety and be able to be further funded by other players.

Making missions out of hunting players could be easily exploited but a Most Wanted list with Gal-Map tracking would be interesting.

I've talked about having a player based police force profession, supported in different ways by the game, before, and I've got some resistance and complaints that the griefer will just abuse that system as well, but I still think it's the way to go. I support any idea to create a in-game player-based police force.

In lieu of any system in place, I have created a squadron to be a sort of defense force. It's in the early stages, but if anyone is interested please send a message. Also, I have some ideas how to implement a way to train and practice combat, and in essence create an environment for other types of PvP.

Of course I know there are several squadrons and player groups already that does this (Loren's Legions, GARD, etc), but maybe we just need a few more. It's a new step for me to even attempt to take on such a challenge, but it's been brewing in my mind for quite some time. We'll see how it goes.
