Along the lines of multiple cameras/views: Are you referring to (as an example) having the debug camera on a second monitor? That would be something.

I just made myself dizzy trying to picture that in my head. [where is it]

That would be nauseating for sure.

I meant more like each screen being rendered separately. If you have the monitors flat your eye will be tricked into losing much of the distortion, but wrap them around you and it's (for me) intolerable. iRacing does it really well.

He is probably refering to old Elites which used to have front, side and back views.

I have three monitors, all 1440x2560.

BUT I find the image edge distortion far too much if I use all three, so I use just the middle one with real life stuff on the other two for the game. I really, really wish that we'd get multiple 'cameras' at some point, one for each monitor.

You mean like the views in the Original Elite? I would like to be able to assign a view to each monitor, Left, Right, Rear (Probably above main monitor) and of course, front!

I voted 3 monitors but actually that's misleading - I have 3 monitors and also a DK2.

Sometimes I play on all 3 monitors, sometimes on the DK2, and sometimes on just one monitor if I'm multitasking on the others.

3. Game on centre using TrackIR and various apps on either side. Sometimes I run the game on all 3 but stretching is a bit off putting. Nice field of view though.

I have one monitor running at 1920x1080 and find the image distortion to be excessive at the edges of that. Pretty much any of my screenies in the screenies thread show it, planets or stars towards the edges of the screen look more like rugby balls than spheres. I have no idea how anybody can play this using more than one screen without it looking a complete mess, nor do I know why the FOV seems to have been treated in such an odd way to begin with. I actually thought the slider in graphics options must be mirrored compared to most games I've played at one point but it seems not. I have mine set to roughly this point:

----|---------------

which I certainly wouldn't expect to be giving me significant distortion at the edges of my screen. Doesn't happen in any other game that I can bring to mind. What is the base FOV for this game by the way, as in how many degrees does it cover with the slider set all the way to the left?

can I interest you in a new charity im setting up... it involves the donation of VR to those who are down on their VR luck.

I voted 3+ because I have 4 on this system.. but technically only 3 get used for ED, the 4th holds the "other stuff" that I usually keep running all the time - like skype, teamspeak, my email client etc..

Voted 2 but technically I use 1 and a separate for web pages (ship builds), route data, films or whatever else takes my fancy.
I also have a laptop I use for fuel rat rescues to avoid alt+tabbing but that doesn't really count... Full setup can have Elite on 1, Film on 2 and FR on 3 if I'm doing a long distance rescue :)

Just the one. A pretty bad TV that I bought off my uncle for twenty quid.

Saving for a 27" with real 1080p display.
