(Poll) When do you think Elite: Dangerous will release character creation?

I'm surprised on how many people dislike expansions. Of course, it doesn't mean that I like them either, but it's strange when the majority of people dislike major updates on games, such as planetary landings, etcetera.

Well (I am) surprised you think it's 'the majority of the people'; -same names/posters are the only ones not wanting expansions...

I do know; its vitally important to keep FD posted on our opinions regarding their agreements and promises; whether that is 'the DDA' or the expansions. To be honest (although his vision seems to be expanding), the goals for his game, including expansions are on track.

Regarding this Poll, I didn't answer it. Ive' no idea, but I think it will come.

If they're going to ever have character creation, it'll come when they release the EVA expansion.

This^^ may be likely; With EVA may come Cantina's on the space stations, some what like SWTOR. If so I think we'd expect to see other players, at least in Open.

Well planetary landings was a part of the old Elite and is wanted by a lot of people including me. Other stuff like the CQC minigame in the real game is something i really dont know what its purpose shall be. Giving people rewards into the real game out of this riskless minigame will completly destroy normal pvp.

Love to hear us folks refocusing FD on the original direction of the game.

I'm not that fussed about our characters, it's much more important to get planetary landings in.

That will be a big enough challenge, being about to fly 100m above any planet/moon, and see the flora (and possible fauna), and the settlements with their unique architectures, etc.

This is not Eve. This is Euro Truck Simulator with Space Ships. If you wanna have EVE do it like me and start playing Eve again.

Hmm, never thought of that; some how I'm sure Eve has not changed for me...

Probably before the first person update or whatever, but i hope that comes in like 5 years because this game is in dire straights when it comes to the space stuff. Like pvp, open, solo, powerplay, trading, npc grinding spam etc. Where's the player stuff for sandbox?
