I've been running missions for [classified], and I've noticed something strange. I took a bunch of passenger missions with the purpose of gaining rep with a new faction, and when I started turning them in, at some point I was being offered more INF that I originally remembered the missions being worth. Later I checked my journal file, and sure enough the actual amount of INF rewarded (according to the journal) was only 1 pt, but the reward screen clearly offered me 3 points per mission.
The only thing I can attribute this to is that I stacked all the missions while I had no REP with the faction, and early on in running those missions I got a "promotion" in REP. Might the mission system be presenting me with the rewards of a higher REP while only awarding me the rewards of the REP I had when I took those missions?
All I know is it's a bit frustrating to run passengers all over the place and only get 6 INF out of the deal, especially when I picked 3+ for each of those in the rewards screen. I should have picked REP instead!
