Potential for: other critters

Hey everybody
So usually I post these threads to see what other animals of other families and ones that are from different continents that would be great additions.
Today I want to ask about animals that are not from families that are frequently discussed or proposed in previous threads.
Example no canines, bears, felines, pinnipeds, reptiles, birds, primates, pigs, ungulates, cattle, sheep, goats, large rodents or marsupials.
let’s talk about something else such as Viverrids (Binturong are a member of and I really like them).
Xenarthur (sloth, armadillo)
Mustelids
Please share and educate on some of the other critters that may not get as much attention

Would love a Viverrid - favourite pick would be a common genet (below) because the first time we ever tried a camera trap in Portugal we got a great video of one. A Marten of some kind would also be great. I would love some bats but they'd probably need to be exhibit animals. We've got no Leporidae at the moment but I guess rabbits and hares aren't often in zoos except the domesticated breeds. Weirdly I guess they are so widely distributed that they aren't exciting! How about a Marmot for the squirrels?

cocolori now that you mention it, I just learned that Queens zoo is breeding and trying to save a vulnerable population of New England Cottontail and are being released. Leporidae might just find their way into PZ.
That common Genet is certainly pretty

Excluding those major categories I think I'd want to see Meerkats, Wombats and Sloths, as well as many members of the Mustelid group (badgers of several types, and otters). And of course, Penguins.

Small carnivores could almost get a pack in their own right - there are enough major groups (mustelids, skunks, procyonids, viverrids, mongooses and Madagascan carnivores) to warrant it.
Of the mustelids, my top choice is the yellow-throated marten (I know I must have mentioned it a dozen times by now but they are seriously fantastic animals). Of course, there are lots of other options too such as badgers, wolverines, any species of otter, the tayra, European mink or black-footed ferret. Wouldn't mind any of them, and all are kept in zoos to some degree.
Of viverrids, my most wanted would be the Owston's civet - endangered and part of a critical captive breeding programme. Binturong and African civet would probably be my next choices after that.
Of the procyonids (raccoon family), I would probably take white-nosed coati as my top choice, as they have among the broadest range of habitats (from rainforest through woodland and grassland to deserts). Kinkajou would be a close second.
Of the mongooses and Madagascar carnivores, I would probably choose either fossa or meerkat as my top picks. Although I have to say, having seen one for myself in a UK zoo, the spotted fanaloka of Madagascar is another really beautiful, threatened species that would be much appreciated by myself.

I would personally take an armadillo over a sloth, and if I had to choose a species I would say the yellow (also known as the six-banded) would be my top pick. Giant armadillo I also wouldn't mind too much, as they are a big, impressive and threatened species that is kept in a few South American zoos currently.

As for leporids, my top pick is the humble European rabbit. Surprisingly, they have recently had their wild status updated to endangered, they are probably among the most recognisable European species around and they are being kept and bred in some zoos as part of reintroduction projects.

I do love genet but if I could choose I would put African civet and binturong in the game. Only because they are larger species.

I would live to see smaller predatory mammals, rodents and bats in larger sized exhibits like it was for example in zoo tycoon on Xbox.
Imagine amazing nocturnal houses we could make with those species.
