Potential for: Swine

Hey everybody today I wanted to here from you on a group of animals I am not too familiar with; Swine. I was watching The Zoo (show about the Bronx zoo on animal planet) last night and I noted that they have a mandrill habitat that is shared with Red River Hogs. I have noted a lot of people have suggested they be added in future DLC and I now see as they are certainly unique and colorful. Later in the episode a Babirusa was shown and it had me thinking, what other types of swine could be welcome in PZ.
Can I hear some suggestions on swine that are more then basic wild boars and found on different continents. While we have warthogs and a lot of requests for red river let’s see what else we can do

Same here. I also have a huge soft spot for pigs. Definitely Red River hog and Babirusa are both a must for me.

But I also love Bornean Bearded pigs (I’ve seen them one time in London zoo and they are even more amazing than on photos) and Chacoan peccary (watched them in Wrocław zoo just amazing creatures) - some of them endangared and seen in Zoo’s.

For me pigs are just as spectacular as tigers and bears and deserve their own Pigs DLC. That would be just amazing for me.

Babirusa
Bornean bearded pig
Chacoan peccary

I think we also need to remember about European wild boar with the cutest piglets ever, ultra rare Indian pygmy hog and of course the funky Visayan warty pig from the Philipines.

Red River Hogs would be great as well the Babirusa and the Wild Boar. Three distinct areas of the world. Add in the Giant Forest Hog from Africa (the largest of the Suidae family), and the Collard Pecarry - though not distinctly in the same family as the rest, it's fairly close, and would use the same model and I don't know what other "family" you'd liken it to, they can get plenty of usage out of the Warthog rig, that, I think at this point, it doesn't appear any other animals are using as far as I can tell, and at least not without severe modification.

Might also work to add in something like the older heritage pig breeds as well, adding a farm pig to the mix. Or, potentially, one of the pet species for a walkthrough enclosure.

Ah yes... proto-bacon... lots of lovely choices to go with...

The top pick for me would be the North Sulawesi Babirusa (Babyrousa celebensis); I just love those crazy tusks.

While technically not a pig, a peccary would be a wonderful addition, the Collared Peccary (Pecari tajacu) being the most obvious choice, although there are other options as well.

The Red River Hog (Potamochoerus porcus) sure is a pretty one... love the cute little ear tufts.

The Pygmy Hog (Porcula salvania) is an adorably tiny option that is also quite endangered; captive breeding programs do exist.

And then there's the Visayan Warty Pig (Sus cebifrons) which is extremely endangered... at the rate things are going they may wind up extinct in the wild...
