All of the power regulators in existance must already be out there. Nobody makes new ones. Why do most of these missions expect us to provide our own Power Regulators?
Shouldn't they be grateful that we restore their bases at all? The least they could do is provide us a Power Regulator for each of them.
Having to farm Distress Beacons in order to do Restore Power missions is not quite right.
Seriously, is this still not fixed? We have the opposite issue, getting Restore missions for settlements that are already powered.
Nope,Seriously, is this still not fixed?
Right, why fix anything when players can waste their play time bypassing our issuesNope,
best to check the settlement via the systemap to make sure its still abandoned, i do it every time. And yes, it hurts my inner monk too ;P
How could it be? The current update period is about six months. There will probably be a hotfix after the update, but in between there are no changes.Seriously, is this still not fixed?
Well, to me it seems like a server side error so that could be fixed anytime if FDev wanted. How could it be? The current update period is about six months. There will probably be a hotfix after the update, but in between there are no changes.
No, try doing restore missions in Thargoid recovery systems, they are quite plentiful there, some nights it seems to rain power regulator missions and others not so much, but on the average, over 2 nights, you will have plenty.I always steal mine. Goes against the grain but what can you do? Legit rewards for PR's are relatively few and far between so I do it to alleviate grind - which is already Quite Something for on-foot gear.
Were there flames inside the buildings, and bodies lying around? A few of us have experienced this - seems to occur when the Mission giver is the controlling Faction and that Faction is in active conflict with another. Some coding argument between the Faction state and the Thargoid War mechanics, perhaps?I'm having trouble with restore power missions. I've put the power regulator into its housing in the power building, started it up. The power then comes back online. When I've done these missions before I used to get a mesage saying leave the settlement but now I get nothing. I take off, head back to the mission issuing station and the mission isn't marked as completed.
Bug or am I doing something wrong?
I am running into the same thing... Post in thread 'Turn on power mission, power already on?' https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/turn-on-power-mission-power-already-on.613967/post-10115297Just had a frustrating hour with these missions. Examining the System Map and Mission Board now, it transpires that all of the Missions offered are for online Settlements - and, conversely (perversely!), the 2 settlements that are offline on the map have no Restore Power missions offered.
Might be basic programming error?
Done. Also found the active Issue Tracker for this problem: place your votes! https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/57596I am running into the same thing... No, there weren't, it was just an ordinary abandoned, powered down settlement, a couple of times a ship would appear, drop off scavengers which I'd have to kill. The system I'm doing them in MCC 561 is well away from the frontlines of the war. Were there flames inside the buildings, and bodies lying around? Another one to fix, FDev!
Added one as well.Done. Also found the active Issue Tracker for this problem: place your votes! https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/57596
It is unacceptable that this problem still exists. This should have been fixed immediately. We have the opposite issue, getting Restore missions for settlements that are already powered.
Off with their heads! What do they think this is? A game or something! It is unacceptable that this problem still exists. This should have been fixed immediately.
Nothing THAT drastic... however, given how long such a bug has existed, I am at the point where if they were to be barricaded inside the studio and not released until a fix was done and a patch deployed, I would not object.Off with their heads! What do they think this is? A game or something!
Well, strap in to your seat, considering some bugs have been around for years... It could be a long wait...Nothing THAT drastic... however, given how long such a bug has existed, I am at the point where if they were to be barricaded inside the studio and not released until a fix was done and a patch deployed, I would not object.
There seems to be another bug where certain reactivation missions will recognise that you've arrived at the settlement, but then the mission state will never progress beyond that point, forcing you to fail the mission. No mission objectives are shown in the HUD, and turning the power on won't cause the mission status to update. It can happen regardless of whether there are fires or scavengers present (or mission objectives to deal with them). Attempting to reset the mission by relogging or leaving the settlement via supercruise does not help. My best guess is that it affects specific destinations for some reason, as on the most recent occasion I took two missions to Lowat Yuan that both bugged out, but ones to Derrim and Shosha were fine. No, there weren't, it was just an ordinary abandoned, powered down settlement, a couple of times a ship would appear, drop off scavengers which I'd have to kill.
