Powerplay organizing and strategy? And some more questions.

Just made my first pledge to Winters (I know I was promoting Hudson earlier but it was all courtesy, I never liked that old fart to be honest) and spent some time this morning checking out the current situation.

It seems the majority of systems currently nominated for expansion comes at a high cost but will generate low income.
Is this due to the lack of knowledge/interest with the players or am I myself missing something here, there are several far better options then these systems.

Also, I dropped off 20 "units" of propaganda for fortifying a system currently being undermined but the system gained MORE then 20 units after delivery. Are these worth more then the written number?

And lastly, am I correct to assume that as soon as youve hit the "trigger" for fortifying/undermining, there is no use doing any more for that current system?
According to the text, a trigger hit on both sides cancel eachother out and no more will happen, as opposed to expansions where the two sides eventually fight against the opposing rating.

Hi,

The bad organisation can be due to 2 things.
- First is the fact that there is no "lead". You have hundreds of players choosing systems, not really understanding what they are doing, playing only to get merits etc.
- It can also be due to sabotage. Players from other powers pledging to your power, and making it expand into the wrong system. (I don't know how present this is ingame and what effect it has, but I know some people try).

Normally, 1 unit of propaganda increase the value of 1. It could be someone dropped some off at the same time as you. Or maybe the update was late and took into account more than one drop..

You are right for fortifying/undermining. Once the trigger is reached, as things are at the moment it is useless going further.
However for expansion, you have to reach the trigger AND overcome the opposition. So there it is usefull to go higher.

Have fun.

must be pretty rare, but yea i'd like this kind of behavior to have hardcore repercussion for the CMDR, like being kicked of the power and being unable to pledge for every power for 2 weeks (that would calm them i'm sure)
