Prediction Q4...

Recent community guests have said there is something we have been asking for for a long time, which is in Q4 but hasn't been announced.

What's your guess?

I'd love space legs and planetary landings, as well as player owned bases, but those are unlikely.

So I'll guess...

- Passenger Mission Filter like regular Missions
- Accept and load button added to cargo missions
- "Sell All" in Commodities Market
- Filter Commodities by Column Header (price, available, cargo, etc)

- Updated Earth graphics and Landable Moon with landmarks
- Elimination of too fast or too steep "Glide" issues - glides always slows you down to the right speed no matter what
- Addition of Throttle Assist to auto-reduce throttle to 75% when within 7 seconds of destination - helps new players avoid overshooting destination

- SRV support in Multicrew
- Multicrew Ship's Pilot can leave in SRV or SLF, and let ship follow or hold position just like when not in MC
- Multicrew Host/Pilot can also join wing of up to 4 Pilots (4 ships of 3 crew each max)
- New Multicrew Roles: Navigator, Engineer, etc.

Mine is inter system jumps, jumping between bodies with a high enough mass within the same statem.

Planetary surface bookmarks or an Orrery map.

Colored bookmarks..

I'm betting it is escape pods for SLF pilots.

Panther Clipper

I'd like to the mission-board balanced properly, I'd like to see material spawn-rates relative to their rarity, I'd like to see more plausible NPC ship builds and more believable NPC behaviour, I'd like to see cops acting in a consistent and sensible manner

Space whales

- NPC crew - People walking around stations

Navigation lights when landing?

More SRV types and a robotic arm with a drill to extract resources from surfaces would be awesome too... Ship launched exploration shuttle with additional Scanner Thingies...

Recolorable HUD

All awesome! Hope we get them all!

Predictions...

Cons
Much of the same with the occasional flash of brilliance.
A balanced flat empty universe with no life or energy or excitement. (no variability / extremes / imaginative creativity)
Everything will continue to be based on what we already THINK we know and scientific.
More Predictability. We want absurdity and unusual and fantastic things to find that were never thought of before. The universe is far more interesting than portrayed in this game.

Pros
More beauty and serenity.
More excellent sound from the audio department
More nice ships and 3d objects.
More obscure and difficult puzzles
I have a feeling gas scooping will be soon.
Walking around on your bridge and exiting ships onto airless moons.
Walking around with limited access in stations
More thargoid actions.
Maybe more SRV models.
Carriers

I really hope it's the Orrery View (which would sort of make sense as a thing to have in an update centred around Exploration and whatever the mysterious Codex consists of).

I think most of the unannounced things are just gonna be cool extra details of the already-announced stuff we don't know about yet.

For example, we know about the new mining mechanics. We know that it's going to involve more skill and risks such as gas explosions, corrosive chemical clouds, *and so forth*. Okay.

Well, here's a video from 2014 with the devs talking about stuff they'd like to add in future, and at 4:13 a guy starts talking about giant metal-eating monsters that live in ring systems and eat asteroids and ships.

That would be a cool risk to face while mining...

As for the thing we've been asking for for ages: probably planetary bookmarks or comets.

Space legs, I read on a dev post that he/she said something like 'you will be happy with the next leg of the journey(maybe a clue?)', or something like that. I'd like to see landable comets

Here is some irrelevant and clearly inaccurate data to stir the pot. Steamcharts just hit a massive 2400 players online (yeah yeah, registered steam only players I get it ya loser) right now! I predict this number will go up to at least 3000.
