I think that they will release it to Standard Beta players when the will have a more precise ETA for the release of standard beta.

Do we get a notification through email that there is a new product to download from the store when the Beta becomes available?

Not that it makes much difference to me as I will be at work all day, so they could release it at 8am and I couldn't do anything about it.

They announced start of alpha trough email, so I expect same happening with premium beta.

Me, myself and I (and I guess some other commanders too) wouldn't mind that A1 is old ;)
At least we would get a fight and/or flight training...so I won't give up all hope till friday. :cool:

I'm gonna take my gaming laptop with me to work on Friday (just in case). Its more of an educational thing, as I previously demo'd Alpha 1.1 which they loved.

Stuff work.....

Find you're custom.binds file, copy it somewhere else. Rename it to whatever you like and then paste it into the control folder where the other preset .binds files live and you'll be able to select it like it was a preset.

The other poster was maybe an alpha backer, with a more updated client using different paths? I'm a premium beta level backer, I can find some possible files in:

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1000

Is the path to where E: D stuff is stored. There's an OptionsDefaults folder in there with a bunch of .binds files, maybe you'll find your file in there?

OK I found the default .binds files by unhiding the AppData folder and looking where you suggested, but no custom saved bindings :(
I too am a Premium Beta and I have high hopes for this game but at the moment I am being beaten by the the sheer quantity and complexity of combining my HOTAS, Voice attack, TrackIR, mouse and keyboard :eek:
Time for a cup of tea I think :p

I totally get that. I'm an alpha backer and still struggling with the HOTAS and the bindings being reset after every build. The above info is very useful. :)

I also have one of those EDtracker things, but haven't even gotten around to setting it up yet.

OK I have had my tea and I'm feeling ready for another go at setting up my system. One step at a time and try to get the TrackIR sorted if I can, cos I is a pilot of the future lol, like maybe a few more hours, days, months.....:rolleyes:
