I look forward to seeing a few of you chuckle at me in the beta, as I inevitably crash a few times while trying to dock
Ha...I'm wonder how difficult the docking is going to be. I recall back in the 80's when I was playing the original Elite it was pretty hard the first dozen times. The first few ended with my banging my ship up then getting blasted by the police vipers....
May be good to get flashing red lights and "Student Pilot" bumper sticker on my ship.....
I'm in SoCal (-8 GMT) so I am hoping that I'll get access before it's too late tomorrow....need to find a way to get out of the date with the wife.....

We've all been there...just about hanging in there after a dangerous mission then crashing on docking. From DB's latest post, larger ships make life a lot harder!
Whew....made it through the fight with 10% hull integrity....bang into the dock and explode....dang it....
Can't imagine docking an Anaconda without a docking computer.

I think the Aplha players have been saying the beta build could drop anytime tomorrow, and probably likely in the afternoon GMT.
but that said, I hope you are right

I want to know this too.... to go to sleep now and wake up a couple of hours before I need to go to work, or not.... so excited! It's like being 8 years old on Christmas Eve again!
as some one that has spent like almost 2000 pound on a pc and hotas for this and s.c and being kicked in the bulls by s.c over the dfm having this tomoz is keeping me charm i to feel like a kid at xmass please give us a midnight release

It will be ready when its ready. But no sooner.
If what we have been told by FD is correct, the alpha backers will get it a little while before the beta backers - an hour or two, perhaps. If that is the case, then the beta backers will probably get a lot more notice than the alpha backers.
Usually there is an update to the launcher program before a new release. There has not been one yet. React to that in any manner you see fit.
It's gonna be tomorrow afternoon/early evening I expect. I'll be in work. I think I'm gonna have to teamviewer into my pc to get the client downloaded ready for when I get home!
