Did you really think you could stay on topic with Duck, Acid and Billl here?

Unless FDev can do something special, I don't think it is possible to limit a CG to one particular gaming group.
I thought that the CGs are hooked to the BGS so are open to all.

Personally, I would prefer this. The majority of posters on this forum are a welcoming bunch. I don't see why we need a dedicated CG.

You're right and n that. CGs are cross platform. I don't think they can be separated.

I know they have their right to complain but the lenghs they go to find even the most miniscule thing to complain about,even when they have +800 hours in game(I once saw a YT comment that boiled down to "I have 750 hours in the game. Thanks for nothing, FDev") or people saying that Mr.Braben is a hack and a fraud(some even comparing him to Molyneux or Sean Murray).
What pains me is seeing people who defend ED being labeled as "blind fanboys" so let's try to be different from the majority of the fanbase. IDK how the Xbox fans are but hopefully not as bad as the PC fans.

We are very nice, go and say hello.

There are plenty of good posters over in DD. Many will have constructive criticism for the game, it's not perfect after all. Don't let the huge amount of negativity from some posters put you off from venturing over there. If people didn't care about the game, including the complainers, there would be tumbleweed blowing through the forums.

hey now now, without some humor this place would go stale, i for one believe that if a topic doesn't go off on a tangent then then it deserves my special attention. plus if i can put a smile on the face of a poor PS4 player depressed because of the wait then my work here is done

From OP - This is a community goal that I hope we are able to accomplish. Be different from the PC part of the fanbase.

The OP continues on about how we should be nice to each other and FDev and not mean and whiny like some over in the PC forums (paraphrase). So..... Not only are we on topic, we're achieving this community goal!

ps - It's not an actual CG in the game, silly, it's a play on words.

yes I have noticed the constant berating of this game and it puzzles me to the core. ANY GAME and I mean ANY, that can give you more than 100hrs playtime is an absolute marvel. only to mention a few for myself 400+hours each-oblivion,skyrim,fallout3,fallout4. 1000+hrs gta5+online. Yes these games have a lot of FAULTS(some more than others) but these games can suck you into their world, you practically live in these worlds for months at a time, the detail and craft involved in these worlds are verging on sorcery, HOW CAN I COMPLAIN ABOUT THE FAULTS IN THESE GAMES THAT HAVE GIVEN ME THIS LENGTH OF ESCAPE??

I know ED will be the same, YES it will have faults, but it will be a game that can be whatever you want it to be, inside a recreation of the milky-way, really what else do you want?. The work and effort to make such a game is truly amazing and the escapism whether violence fuelled or exploration/trading mood will have me captivated for hours.

Ooooooohh but its such a grind, really? yeah I started work at 16, still waiting on my mansion.......coz that's life... a grind. you want something, you earn it. You want something in a game? You play it. Its funny how different generation call playing a game to its core "a grind" where as most folk just play it. same thing on the gta5 online with the shark-cards people moaning about being "forced" to buy shark cards. this is bull, in gta5 I am level 325 a multi,multi, millionaire with all the trimmings, not once have I had to pay, WHY? COZ I PLAY THE GAME!!!!!!!

I am new to elite except the old amiga version, but so far, the peeps I have had threads with on here are nothing more than eager beavers like myself waiting for this game with positivity(apart from the wait!!) all urging and encouraging each other sharing their plans with us all. I think this PS4 section is way better and positive/engaging than most other sections and other game forums

I take it as a (pleasant) challenge to try to keep a thread on topic with you lot around.

I squirted a bit of water into the device so the call button doesn't work, and I stole the orderlys keys so I can get out once in awile. Oooooh shi#, he's coming back, gotta go.
