Its not quite that clear cut, I can see both sides. The Cobra Mk4 was available for the limited time on both PC and Xbox. As PS4 users we never got this "limited time" chance because the game was not available. I too would like to see it available for PS4. Its one of the questions.![]()
Fingers crossed.
But it would be a pity for PS4 CMDRs to not be allowed to own one at all through no fault of our own.
Are they not for sale? I would think getting a free one during a promo would be a nice incentive, but if no one else can buy one. There really wasn't an incentive, if I understand the particulars of a cobra 4 vs ...
A quick PSA: I think that the list of questions is pretty meaty by now, and frankly I can't think of anything else that we might want to know. However, I will check this space the whole of tomorrow to see if someone comes up with something else that might be interesting.
After tomorrow evening though, I will not add any more questions, in order to give Lloyd the whole day on Thursday to go through them, maybe print them, and rehearse his answers (hoping he won't ask Sandro for help with that).
Also: I apologise for not having indicated the name of the person who asked each specific question. I've helped myself of everything I could find, at times rephrasing things a little. This is stuff we all want to know so I'm sure it really doesn't matter much who asked what. But if you feel particularly offended by the lack of credits, let me know and I can add names in parenthesis.

As much wish-list items as questions:
Can we save controller bindings (as separate files) to USB and to PSN-cloud?
(to explain, this is because on PC when an update comes out, it often deletes your controller bindings, and you have to enter them all again by hand... unless you save them manually or use something like EDProfiler)
Do/can we get multiple named config saves for controller bindings?
(again because using EDProfiler means you can have one setup for DualShock4 in non-VR, another for VR, another two for HOTAS in both, a mining specific setup etc etc)

You've been able to save and upload settings files on PS4 for some time, at least Nov 2013. Here's the manual: http://manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/ps4/settings/data_system.htmlSaving, transfering, config files, oh my. Are you new to counsels?

Or a video if this is easier to understand:

So what i'm asking is for controller bindings to be explicitly included in the settings file most PS4 games have, and/or a separate file.
I am not asking for separate files for each binding, you'd manage those in-game, under the normal options area.
To restate, the issue (even on Xbox) is FDev release an update, you apply it, log in, and have lost all your controller bindings. If you have customised these heavily (see my post #352 as an example of the number of inputs you have to change on a DualShock4) it can be annoying.
Ignore the sarcasm Stinja that's a really good question. Xbox users have reported lose of bindings after updates. It's a great question. Bill try to see things from others perspective, not just your own.
Think it's happened to me either once or twice and the only time I can Deffo remember was when the game came out of gpp into full and possibly when horizons came out.
You do have a local save that includes settings/binds but I think they only get wiped if there is a change to the core game that needs to do this.
I either take screenshots of my binds or even snap a few pics on my phone just before an update just incase tho lol![]()
