PS4/ Xbox One Version of the Game?

lol what? i didnt know that! cool

Yep! and its all haptic, so you just adjust the sensitivity and it feels as natural as using your fingers to do stuff. You just gotta get used to it! :) the steam link bundle isnt too expensive. i know the whole $100 set was like 25 bucks during the winter sale (and every other sale) and the steam machine itself was down to $4.99. should look into it :)

I prefer my laptop, but I didn't realize controllers can function as mice & keyboard, I cant imagine it being good for RTS games

I play Warhammer total war, Rome total war, Command & Conquer 3, heck...i play FTL with it. and i dont have a PC anymore. my steam (LINK) (not steam machine) steam LINK (sorry i kept saying machine i need to be more clear) is connected to my TV and my laptop is on my desk. connects just fine

To be clear

STEAM MACHINE = expensive PC in a box shaped like a console. not worth getting.
Steam LINK =Inexpensive Streaming device (Should get)
just incase i confused anyone.

Please don't! Planet Coaster doesn't need a Console game!

it being on console will not affect you if your on PC and the people on console who can't get a computer because of reasons then can play it- even if there is a difficulty with controls im sure people will pick them up sooner rather than later

It is not just the Controls. It is also Hardware Power. Even High End PCs start to struggle when you play a fully built Park. I am not convinced that there is a Console out there at the Moment that can handle this Game. I can see the "optimization" crowd coming out of the Bush right now... There is sadly not much more you can do to optimize that Game.

While I don't believe PC would work well on a console, it would be nice to be able to use a controller on the pc for PC.

You can, but Camera Control only.

Do you really want to punish yourself with a Controller option, when Mouse and Keyboard is much more intuitive?

I'm not saying that mouse and keyboard isn't bad, but the controller works better for me. Make it optional.

I've seen other games work fine on controls like this, city skylines etc. Plus Xbox one is getting mouse and keyboard support. I'd love to see this game on xbox, even if it is a dulled down version.

Maybe when the ps5 releases in 2020 and it supports a mouse and keyboard.... it could work on console. Just my opinion.

It is not just the Controls. The Consoles are just not Powerful enough yet. This Game has to handle thousands of individually placed Pieces, plus the Pathfinding and Decisionmaking of the Peeps... That is just too much to handle.
