Purchased content not cross platform?

Hello,

This has probably been asked before but I have yet to figure out how anyone finds anything in forums. I use to play quite a bit on Xbox. I have switched to playing on PC but I do not want to transfer my progress. However, I was not aware that store purchases such as, paintjobs, cmdr outfits, etc and not cross platform. Is it true that these are not cross platform, or did I do something wrong in the account linking process?

You are correct, cosmetics are not cross-platform. As I understand it FDev support can transfer your in-game cash to an account you buy on another platform on request, that's it.

OP, did you ask Frontier to transfer anything from one account to another? I doubt that the problem is the purchased items are not cross platform. It's just a different account and purchased items are only for one account/commander.

I haven't contacted them yet, from what I can tell they only transfer funds. If that's the case then I don't need that. I'll talk to them to see though.

I contact support some years ago about transfering non-purchased cosemetics from PC to PS4, and they said it was possible to remove and reapply to the other platform. But was manual one-off, one-way only.

This was for Fuel Rat decals and non-purchased ship paint jobs (Special Effect, Yogscast etc). Of course their policy may have changed now, as this would have been around 2016/17 (3302/03).
