PvP PvP Corvette vs. Gankers build advice

That video is a good example why prismatics on the corvette are too power hungry in my opinion. If you can't armor that very exposed PP and FSD and don't use module protection and ideally an AFMU, you're toast if you wait till shield collapse. I'd rather loose 500mj and install a 7A shield, while still being able to build a hull tank underneath (even if it's just for running).
In my opinion the Corvette is well suited for both, prismatics and two 7A Banks and the rest goes into hull.
I have to use a low-draw prismatics but I still gain 600 mj over a reinforced 7A shield gen with high cap.
Also I run armored pp (of course) and shielded FSD with two MRPs, good luck sniping that, it will take some time.
But generally that Corvette guy should've bailed after the first 2 minutes realizing he can't reliably hit deZpe and dish out anywhere enough damage to hurt him. He also couldn't evade deZpe to bank like at all, so thats two sweet sweet c7 modules down the drain...

Don't be that guy, Kids, if you fly your undefeatable Big3 and your opponent is even more undefeatable, just bail out 😂

That works, but only if you use MCs in the huge hardpoints. I'm not a fan of them as I consider the beams to be much more useful, but that's a personal preference. DPS is somewhat comparable, although most shield tanks will have only 40% thermal resistance, which improves the beams DPS in comparison to the kinetic damage.

After trying out OP's build, I'm finding that the 2x medium and 1x large fixed multis are absolute horse s*** for their convergence. I miss most shots just on the basis of most ships' profiles are too slim for all my multis to hit due to the placement. Am I doing something wrong or should I just scrap the fixed and go for gimballed?

As stated earlier in this thread;
Hitscan on a corvette is okay, as long as you do so on the huge and small hardpoints. The two mediums have terrible convergence and are best used maybe for "utility" weapons. The large on the underside of the Corvette has bad convergence with the two huge on top so thats maybe another utility weapon. Personally, I put missles or a turret on it. Yes turrets are bad but small damage is better than no damage because the bloody thing is never on target.
