PvPers/PvEers - Find a friend from the other side!

I like to roleplay an assassin/killer/evil bounty hunter somewhat like Boba Fett. If anyone remembers that character from the original Star Wars movies, I think he had a total of like 5 lines. He's not a talker, neither am I (in game).

What? How dare you say that Fett is a unkown man in the Galaxy! This is an ultrage to all bounty hunters in the galaxy that followed his steps!

Just don't fall into the pit will ya?

From the perspective of a pvper: I think a major source of animosity towards PvE 'carebears' is the fact that a large number of PvE players (by no means all!) seem unwilling to accept the idea that when they click 'open play' they are signing up for all forms of player interaction, not just player interaction in a form of their choosing. The whole point in open is that anything can happen. When I go to do some powerplay-oriented pvp and kill some Imperial fortifiers or underminers or go to oppose an Imperial CG about half of the players I attack who aren't hardcore pvpers resort to cheating (combat logging) or call me names and act like what I'm doing is essentially as bad committing a crime in real life. Yet at the same time I have no particular animosity towards solo or private group players; I just wish that people wouldn't come into open mode unless they're actually willing to accept the risks with a bit more grace.

<Really? - not needed>

I am a Solo combat orientated pilot
Have a decent Credit balance
Have all the ships I want
All ships modded with g4/5

Joined the recent bounty hunting CG. Go to a HAZ RES and empty my multi-canons at NPCs, I take no hull damage .... rinse and repeat
For me there is no more challenge fighting NPCs. They are too easy IMHO

PVP is the next step for me

Do you plan to support a particular superpower? Please say Federation!

Been here over 3 months...don't have any friends from either PVP or PVE.

In fact, I've had so little experience with using the chat functions that I actually have no ideas how to use it.

Every single time I play in open, I get ganked, hence I play mostly in solo mode when in the bubble. My only experience with other players in this game has me looking at rebuy screens ^^

I have several "hardcore PvP" friends, ingame.
It is good for getting an idea of where the action is, so to speak, and go somewhere else, if I don't want to get involved.

Btw. Since when we can name commanders, here?

I invited a hardcore PvP friend to join me in Solo so I could show him how awesome it was, but with the broken instancing, we could never see each other.

Something I could get behind. Like I said in a post earlier, we need to do something before the community completely collapses in on itself :)

*edit: That said I dont know what classification I fall under. I'm a guy who doesn't mind pvp, approves of pve and is in favour of fair competitive gameplay.

I'll be your friend. Hell, come back to the game and I'll be your wingman anytime :)

As far as the Ess Dee Cee are concerned; I have never met a nicer, more well balanced, entertaining, intelligent, articulate and supportive bunch of Frontier Approved Gamers in my life.

I've already got at least two PvP-oriented players on my in-game friends list, one of whom is particularly rabid ;) , for quite some time now.

In fact I had a wee bit of fun with this guy at Jameson Memorial - he was deliberately flying weakened Eagles into players who were speeding in and out of Jameson. Tried it on me as I was coming into the station, but I got the last laugh as 1) I wasn't speeding (I never do more than 99m/s in and out of stations these days) and simply wiped his eagle off my windscreen as he blew up, and 2) I laughed heartily as one of his cohorts was waiting on me inside Jameson with missiles, which didn't hurt me at all but the station instantly blitzed his ship :D

Anyway further lulz ensued when I bought a "disposable" Cobra Mk.III at Jameson and proceeded to try to block his eagles from ploughing into other players by constantly getting in front of him. T'was a riot, that evening ;)

He knows who he is :p

Hi, I'm a PvEer looking for a mature PvPer who has gentle hands on the joystick, but knows when to take command of the situation at the right moment. Also, it's very important that he knows when "No" really means "Yes!"

If you're interested, hit me up at #impvpcurious.

I'm shy, but when pushed into a corner I can really push back!

Just remember a few things :
- that guy knew who he was dealing with
- they're quite good at PR and Propaganda, that's often what keeps them afloat
- keep in mind what these guys have done in the past and what they do every day. Their actions speak louder than words and no propaganda or smoothtalk will ever restore their rock-bottom reputation

And you gave them exactly that they're always after :
- visibility
- PR
- smoothtalk, based on the false impression you were handed

... hook, line, sinker.

So, with all due respect - you're making a tool out of yourself for these guys if you believe even for a split second those were "no disrespect, normal, nice people".
They've proven over and over again that they are the polar opposite. All their actions clearly demonstrated that. No PR or smoothtalk or "showcasing/acting" will change anything about that simple truth.

Repeated Mobius Infiltrations : check
Repeated EULA/License violations : check
Sniping a Cancer charity steam : check
PR attempts to cover their true nature : check
Any signs of them having even the slightest intention to change their behaviour : fail

Empathy or "understanding each other" is a 100% alien concept to these guys. More alien than anything we could ever encounter in this entire Project, no matter what Frontier could ever unleash upon us.

Welp, you got me. All my friendships in this game are fake, and I am physically incapable of feeling empathy. How did you guess?
In other news, 9/11 was an inside job and the Illuminati is real.

Trust is an issue...not sure if I like the idea of some unknown player knowing exactly where I am all the time.

Unfortunately, I'm one of those players who has been repeatedly ganked in open...no warnings, no demands, nothing. And yet here I see pvprs claiming to have a friendly community?

If ye knew the entire story, ye could perhaps forgive my skepticism...trust is earned and not freely given to any tom or harry.
