QoL improvements coming?

My imagination is runninng wild :D

Tritium from hold to depot on FC's? ATC knowing who their CMDR is? The list could be endless!

It will probably be about more recent additions I'd assume. Maybe some balancing changes to the glaive or chain hyperdictions.

Bah! You've squashed all my hopes and dreams :D

So no genetic sampler engineering opportunities? 500% extra yields of tritium from mining icy rings? No improved battery capacity for suits? How about, in the sysmap, clicking on a POI from the menuu moves the focus to the POI instead of the main star?

Ah well...

changes the version number to 15.2 and the devs have a pizza party/lunch? maybe a exclusive sneak peak at what Sandro been working on, *(for the devs only?) **A little fun wouldn't hurt them. maybe an impromptu football/soccer skirmish.

I think this will be a good update and I'm happy it's coming. But just to set expectations so you're not disappointed, Ship Interiors, Base Building, an Engineering rework, a Powerplay rework or Panther Clippers are not coming in this Update. :D

I'd be happy if the scavenger helmets finally got their colours back. And if I could navigate to a starport from the system map.

Although Sally says there is a long list of QoL fixes, the community does tend to run away with itself with speculation. (Lave Radio is guilty of it just like the rest of them). Best to wait until Monday before we get started! 😀

To misquote Dr Strangelove - "gentlemen, you can't lower your expectations in here, this is the forum!"

  • ability to deploy our SRVs from a hovering ship
  • landing gear for SLFs
  • FC Tritium transfer
  • ability to organise our bookmarks with user definable folders
  • more hotkeys (e.g. for caustic sink), maybe even user defineable?
  • colourblind hud mode
  • deploying heatsink prior to hyperspace jump avoids hyperdiction
  • fix so bodies in system map accurately reflect current day/night situation
  • ability to upgrade artemis bio scanner so, a bit like refinery bins, we can store partial data for mutliple plant species simultaneously
  • ability to see markers/distances for previous bio scans from within SRV
  • SRV wave scanner enhanced to include biological signal traces too
  • increased range for external camera so we can move it further away from our ship like we used to be able to do
  • ability to buy back accidentally sold ships
  • Panther Clipper

This is way too "sci-fi"... even for ED.

  • Console and VR development resumes.
  • 30 new ships are coming.
  • Server optimizations ensure that everyone can play together again.
  • Thousands of new life forms can be found and explored on the now realistic planets.
  • Raxxla story implemented.
  • Ship interiors are walkable and have awesome new features.

The exo scanner "bins" and tritium to depot have been on my wishlist for Quite Some Time (y)

And if FDev can get Lumley and Fry to FTC voices that recognise their bosses... we'll, heaven. Eh? :D

I'll be happy if we can select and point to a settlement in the system map's points of interest menu again.

In addition:

- dedicated hotkey for SC assist.

Admittedly, I rarely have one fitted. But when I do, hitting hotkeys for locking current target (already implemented) and then SC assist would be a nice QoL tweak. Also for disabling it, rather than ploughing through the nav menu...

If you want to go mad though, just get rid of the SCA module and make it a standard built in function as well.
