Queen Cinnas Creations

I did some work on the tropical house today - lots of work in the future red river hogs habitat - not pictured. I started putting in place some nice botanical highlights, and did a fair bit of work in the Lars Gibbon section (currently using Siamang testers). Tomorrows work will be on the water monitor and walkthrough section. There is a lot I am omitting in this screenshot, as I don't want to show it all off until the pack release. 5 days to go

These screenshots are from yesterday - I can't believe how different it looks even after just a couple of hours decorating. Still testing with the Siamangs of course to check for escape routes and transveribility as I landscape and build. The Asian Water Montior habitat is all landscaped up sans new pack pieces, and now its just up to exterior decorating for the enclosure. The walk through section is getting there too and all structural support is built for the big dome - Its just needs some climbable pieces for the lemur/monkey troop. After that I have the housing for the lemurs to build, their outdoor mesh ensclosure, and the fossa habitat, plus the rest of the roof in the lower guest section. Then its sit back and wait for the new pack. Is it 4 or 3 days to go now?

Okay! Getting closer to the finish line! The water monitor, sloth, lar gibbon, and red river hog are all done! The walkthrough lemur section is also done! Just the fossa area (top right of the overhead screenshot) to build tomorrow, and then a staff area and general landscaping around the dome area. After I'm done I am taking a break for a few days until the pack launches, and then on launch day I'll do some sprucing with the pack pieces and show it all off.

Dome is from the workshop because I just do not understand space well enough to build one. Will note workshop items in builds going forwards 😊

My tropical dome is as finished as I feel it can be for tomorrows launch. Here are some teasers:

The Dome and the temple are both off of the workshop. There are 6 regular exhibits, a walkthrough exhibit, and 5 habitats. It does have a botanical garden vibe in some places with certain little gardens being featured. I am showing off my little fern garden here. All read to add new animals tomorrow and of coruse I will be adding new plants and pieces too.

Tropical Pack! Yeah!!!!

Heres my build pics:

First the beautiful Asian Water Monitor in the sloth walkthrough, these guys share a space somewhat. I wanted guests to be able to get us close to them on a path somewhere, similar to how large monitors kinda mosey through zoos irl.

And here is a sloth. Despite all the complaints I'm actually impressed with these guys. You can see the AWM in the background.

Here is the entryway into the sloth walkthrough from one side. The plant arch and vine fence are from the workshop, I just feel like they fit the tropical house style so well.

And the wall leading to the entry - this is by me and inspired by a similar display of foilage at the Sydney Royal Botanical Gardens

A cool shot of the AWM:

Underwater guest views: The temple is from the workshop - by rudi renkamel. There is lemurs and capuchins in the guest area and they use the fence to climb too.

Part 2 up soon!
Dome, plant arch, vine fence, info signs, and temples from the workshop .

Part2:

I completely forgot to share the entrance lmao. Its a reflection garden leading up to the temple, which is a workshop piece and decorated by me.

Then we have the Lar Gibbons:
Here is the transition between sloths/ awm and the gibbons section complete with a fern garden, I feel like you can't have a tropical house without ferns.

Guests can see the Gibbons at a very close eye level:

And they also Brachiate overhead in two sections:

This arch leads ups into the second indoor section:

Lar gibbon indoor viewing via the windows on the right, the rafflesia are showcased in the raised bed in the centre - the lemurs and capuchin do climb this frame too! There is a scarlet macaw hiding in the climbing frame - part of Dracs workshop set. To the left you can see guests viewing the Red River Hogs.

Red River Hogs:

I did infact, build them a river with a functioning three tier waterfall, which also has and indoor viewing tank that I am pretending there is fish in lol. Temple from workshop.

Indoor/backstage area:

To the left you can see the tank I mentioned, plus two of the birds by Drac, and some more botanical features. There are coloured spotlights highlighting certain plants in this whole build area. I was thinking " Tropical Colours" . The Lemurs and Monkies climb the rock wall too, giving the guests more oppourtunities for multiple view points.

Part 3 and final of the tropical house:

Lemur Climbing Display Area:
Educator talk point to be added lol I forgot.

The climbing part on the left is the guest barrier for the AWM.

Lemure/monkey sleeping area and educational area, built to be modelled after the temples I downloaded from the workhop. Above is the entry to Sloths/ AWM
