Question about kill Warrent bounty claims.

I've been doing some bounty hunting in the sol system near Saturn and have been using the kill Warrent scanner because I thought it would yeld extra dough on ships who are wanted. I seem to be stuck with a bunch of bounty claims in my transaction log, but when I go to the contact menu I can't turn them in. They don't even show up. I've noticed all the bounties are from different factions or areas. Does this mean I have to travel to all these different factions stations to get my full reward or do I have to go to interstellar factions to claim them all at a 25% credit loss for each? What is the deal with this?

Well the bonus is worth it but it doesn't hurt too much skippig the K-Scanner. I mean there are better payig alternatives to bounty hunting as a whole.

I know, but normally the better paying missions are boring, like deliver 6000 units of b.s. for a drop in the bucket.

Have you try exploration ? Better pay than Elite:SpaceTruck.
Less boring (at least for me ^^)

Edit : Engineer your KWS with FastScan

"not even worth it."

local bounties + 0cr > local bounties + (non-local bounties - 25%) ?

I'm sorry, that doesn't compute. I really like the new KWS. Does everything the 2.4 version did and more.

Not when I have to travel 15 jumps away to "cash in". Could have made more just staying put.

You cash those bounties at the Interstellar factor in any low security system. If you're bounty hunting, you need to visit the IF anyway to clear minor bounties and fines. The KWS is definitely worth it. I got a single bounty of 585K since 3.0. and I've had others of over 500k. It still pays about 30% above normal bounties, so that can be as much as an extra 2 mil per hour.

Bind the KWS to the "-" key at the corner of your keyboard. When you arrive at the RES, put a weight on it, then it will be fully automatic. Just forget about it, target and shoot ships, and collect the extra money. If at any time you open the comms panel, it'll start typing -------------- and will then require resetting by lifting and replacing the weight, so that doesn't work so well with head-trackers/VR if you have panels set to open when you look at them.

15 jumps to find the nearest IF/low security system??? You must have a really bad FSD or are somehow bounty hunting outside of the bubble. And how often do you actually need to cash them in anyway?

At one point over the weekend I had bounty vouchers from 53 minor factions. haha

Although, I could see if a newer player was getting killed from time to time, they may want to cash in more frequently. Once you get to a good engineered medium ship you really shouldn't die unless you're being reckless. Of course it's sometimes fun to be reckless, but that's avoidable if you want.
