Quit gaming it.

Absolutely..I'm blown away by how many people buy a 60$ game just to see how fast they can "Beat it"...lame
The Experience is everything to me.

On the other hand, first thing Frontier does at release is a "get to Elite competition". Which isn't really about the trip, but 100% about the destination and cash prize. FD are actually pushing people to game the system.

Thats the conflict between Art and Marketing...FD's business side has to try to appeal to everyone.

Hit the nail square on the head Op, I've already seen threads posted by people who have lost their ship and are complaining that the 200k loan the game gives you isn't enough to replace their multi million credit ship.

It's not about what you own or how fast you get it, it's about how you get to your goals and the ride there.

Totally on spot OP.

Actually 80% of the "I want", "I need", and similar threads are features that open backdoors to game the game. Nothing else.

The mechanics of the game are very well thought of, and obviously some are still with some minor issues, and they work.

The UI has pretty much all the info you need to assess the situations.
The right UI has information about the local system and ALL the factions at work there, don't simply take as granted that a system belongs to a big faction. The left UI has everything about the selected targets.
On top of that the galaxy map + system map also have tons of useful information.

Many many players don't read nor pay attention. That is really a shame given the amount of content generated. And for all that counts a players doesn't need to always be on the good side of the fence you can actually have a blast playing outlaw.

My wish for this Christmas is that all less patient pilots to really start to pay attention instead of racing around.
If you only race for credits you will end in poverty and raging all over the forums.
