I found that most of the Mat Traders on INARA near the CG system are wrong and are mostly Manufactured Traders. Went to 6 systems listed till I found a Raw Trader that was the real deal on the list.

I've missioned my way out of my home sector to systems not visited before, so the Services filter isn't any use at all anymore.

Using the Economy - High Tech filter found me a nearby Data Broker that I needed straight away though.
Presumably, Industrial and Extraction/Refinery will do the same for Manufactured and Raw Materials.

I think the conditions beyond that are population >1M and a large pad station.

That is indeed!

Although I was going to add that personally, I have not had a problem with the RAW Traders listed on INARA being some other type in actuality.

These were Raw Traders dotted around the Cubeo system sector in Imperial Space. Perhaps the problem is more region/sector based?

Thank you so much for all your work for the community on Inara.

About the in-game services search function I find it to be bugged beyond uselessness. All the time, I turn up at a station that the in-game search said would be Mats Trader X and it's actually Mats Trader Y. Or Z.

For this reason all I trust now is my pencil and paper. I know a handful that work, have them written down, and stick to them.
