Real trade mechanic or bring exploits back

I guess Frontier see it as a tolerable % within the demands on their time. So long as we don't start seeing in game assets costing Billions of cr then there is no real difference or advantage gained from being super wealthy if anything it makes you lose out as you trivialise every purchasable item.

It's not the ship - it's the rebuys.
With unlimited credits comes a total lack of risk or consequence for poor player behavior. You end up with "PvP groups" acting like clowns inside stations and ranking up huge bounties because loosing a ship or three is no big deal. And it leads to someone with hundreds of Anaconda rebuys popping AspX pilots who can barely manage one or two - because there np downside for them.

Last I checked there isn't really any mechanic you can exploit to get to Cutter/Corvette rank in a week. If there is, however, I'd like to know it.
As another point, it takes a good chunk of time to engineer a ship. A Conda/Cutter/Corvette built on credits alone won't last 10 seconds on it's own in a violent player confrontation.

Engineering these days are trivial - with no more commodity requirements and higher drop rates, the engineer grind is a fraction of the credit/rank grind.
And that's besides the point anyway, since the issue is more unlimited rebuys than the initial purchase of the ship.

You're wrong.

My wife started playing in a very casual way a couple of weeks ago. She's now at over 3M Cr and has a rather nice Cobra. Making money is not hard.

I second that!

My friend and I started a long-play series and in well under eight hours we bought a Hauler, Cobra, and a Type 6 and still have one million in the bank. (no so called exploits or cgs involved as can be seen in our youtube vids)

But like most games, the longer you play longer it takes to progress from one level to the next, so you need to enjoy the journey imho.

First, this game has 0 interest in friend/group mechanic. Open universe with huge map only for solo players.

I would like to see :
- trade mechanic between players (cargo, materials, data, ship/components, MONEY!)
- group missions

And no, i can't accept comments like : money transfer ruin the game. You know what? Exploits ruin the game, every player with brain exploits money when they can, and new players have no chance to get that money.
Its impossible to bring friends into this game in this state. Bring money exploits back in game or make money transfer!

I hope some devs read this post. You know new players = more money right?

PS: ranking and earning money in normal way is wayyy to slow, dont even try it just find exploits...

I hear your frustrations - my friends use to always complain about the lack of sharing "items" in Destiny, but honestly I think it would have broke that game, and also believe being able to just gift money or other things in Elite would diminish it as well.

The good news is, I believe you can "gift" your friends cargo by dumping it and letting them scoop it up, something you couldn't do in Destiny.

On the flip side, the co-op in Elite is sadly mostly focused on combat. I'm not saying that's not fun, it is, but I think it would also be fun for the captain of a multi-crew vessel to be able to choose how much of a share he wants to pay his crew of his profits from whatever missions they take together.

If it's good enough for AI / NPC crew (who don't even need to be on the ship or do anything to get their cut,) then why not players who are crew actively sitting on the bridge?

Well, it's probably because there is no guarantee the "crew" would do anything more than be a bump on a log, however there has to be some way to insure they are awake and present right? I know in Destiny players who joined strikes but stopped moving got kicked so they couldn't mooch off others efforts.

If only multicrew could enable profit sharing based on sharing of the workload, like let one player pilot and one navigate, but if that is coming it doesn't seem to be coming soon :-(

And I also agree with all those who have posted about "co-op" missions. One of the funnest things to do in Burnout Paradise was the co-op challenges - they had them for 2 to 8 players, so no matter who jumped in or out you could keep working on co-op challenges. So much fun!

It's their money, let them transfer it.

I'd love to live in a galaxy where reserves are depleted everywhere because there's hundreds of Chinese bots swarming every RES... Really, I would! *eyeroll*

Also the PMs from grammatical nightmare children. "10m Cr + 15% 12.00U'sd FREE buy ED credits, get free low temp dimmonds 2 hours delivry garanteed @@ w-w-w-.-e-l-e-e-t-c-r-e-d-i-t-s-.-h-k" every 10 minutes. (Not actually a real thing of course... thankfully)

Thank to unknown player who re-found exploit in Quince. I do not thank to frontier because they do nothing. Problem on first post on this topic solved.

OP, you don't seem to be making much sense. First you say: "Exploits ruin the game". Then you say: "Bring money exploits back". You are contradicting yourself. Why would you want to ruin the game?

Personally, I feel that earning money is easier than it's ever been. I avoid exploits and I don't think new players should expect them, since an exploit is a sign of a broken game.

In my opinion, much of the game's fun comes from EARNING your new ships and upgrades. Those small and medium ships represent most of E: D's content and they are more FUN to fly, than the big ships. If you skip over them, you're just cheating yourself out of the best part of the game.

You said, "Its impossible to bring friends into this game in this state." If your friends are the sort that want a gift-conda on the first day, I don't think they'd enjoy playing this game anyway. If you jump to the endgame ships, there's not much game content left and I predict we will see more "This game is boring" posts, since there's nothing left to strive for.

We do agree on one point: I would also like to see "group missions".

Here's a few suggestions:
* Exploration. Thats easy money: honk and scan.
* Passenger missions.
* Find outbreaks and sell medicines at huge profit.

"Money is unbelivably easy to make in this game, i'd rather it was a lot harder. Seeing a Cutter should be like "Jesus look at that" not "Oh look another end game ship"."
- easy? please show my some easy way master.
- yes cutter should be like that , and it isnt because of exploits but that exploits is nerfed.

Its funny because its true and you maybe have billions in you pocket from exploits.

A real working supply and demand economy would be so awesome.

It would be good, and starting with, all of us have unwanted data and materials that others want.

FD think it will require spreadsheets...
