What UI you are using? Classic or Compact?
Also, did you see in classic UI the PROCESSING PAUSED note at the top/bottom right corner, when you have a "freeze" and did you using the V1.39 ?

Humm, I'm not sure if my post was clear,
I do not have the problem ! Not since before v1.34a I think !
That is why I thought it was weird that BennyBoyW was still experiencing it !
I am using v1.39 and the Compact UI.
It happens when we do other things in ED while the COMMODITY PANEL is still saving !
Most of the screen turns black for a fraction of a second :
then all that black turns white and goes away very quickly again,
and everything is back to normal.
So to reproduce, try a full RESET ALL PRICES AND SCAN,
scan the hole list,
then, when you press save, right away do something else before it finishes,
like, in ED : get out of the commodities market and get into outfitting or shipyard...
If you computer is very fast, maybe the save completes before you can manage to do something else ?
It's not a big deal, I asked if other people were seeing it more out of curiosity then anything !

I'm in Classic and the message appears for me in 1.39 in the top right corner. It just says "processing" not "processing paused"

Wow, that is not intended. I am running a fast machine (4 GHz, 16 GB Ram, SSD), yes. But i think it has to do with the crap zooming feature of excel. I am using the standard value of 100%. I think you said, that you are using less than 100%.
On what machine you are running and anyone else, that having this issue?

Although TCE seems to be working fine, the update field (last on the right) on the Position Panel is not displaying any dates so I do not know how old my data is. "No Data" is displayed on stations where I have not yet added any data.
Using Excel 2010 fully patched on a Win 7 64 bit PC with dates in UK format.

can you post a screenshot and tell me, if it is only the Position panel, or the Destination and Trade panel too?

The date does not seem to appear anywhere, not in the Position Panel or Destination Panel. In the Trade Information there is a date in the "Selected Position".
I don't know what the solid lines are in the Destination Panel. Maybe this has something to do with the problem. These 3 stations were the first I entered and obviously something went wrong.
Have included 3 images of the panels for you.

Thank you, please look into your database (DB/TCE.mdb) and open the Stations table. Did you see entries at the UPDATE DATE and UPDATE TIME column, and please give me an example of what you read there.

Oops! Just opened TCE.mdb with Excel. The Station DB fields Update Date and Update Time are most definitely populated with a valid date except for those 3 stations with a solid line. The Update Date fields in those 3 stations are 00/01/1900. All other dates are 21 to 24/04/2015.

Okay, then i found the problem, the text is trucated, because of the slashes. I changed the format to ".", so it will fit. Releasing tomorrow an update.
Try and use a 60 days free Office version, linked at the PREREQUISITES section of the main post.

Eventure is spot on with his updates. I've been pirating so not been using TCE much hence why I've been quiet on the "ruining Eventure's day with bugs" front, I'm sure Bragolatch has me covered though

I try my best but there is less and less to report !
Keeping Eventure busy is becoming hard work lol
I want to go exploring myself but I'm not quite ready yet
I got involved in some community goals and
I'm really hoping the new TCE with extended logbook will come out in time to help me keep track of the long journey.
Not meaning to put any pressure on Eventure, I have plenty to do so I'll just happily wait until it does come out !

Yes I run the MAIN MENU at 80% Zoom,
all the other ones are default at 100%
I will try the MAIN MENU at 100% today to see if it takes that flashing away,
but please, do not remove the feature just for this.
It is really minor, it happens very fast and only if I do not wait for the save to finish before doing something else.
I personally greatly prefer to keep the zoom capability with the flashing then loose it altogether !!!
Did you manage to see it at all on your top notch hardware ???
Because of some life choices, my means are a bit limited at the moment
and I will have to wait a while still, before I can spare the cash for a new machine.
My AlienWare M17xR2 laptop was great when I bought it over 5 years ago and it still runs fine but it not up to par with the new stuff.
It has Intel I7 Quad Core Q740 at 1.73GHz, 6 GB Ram and I've upgraded it with a Samsung 840 Pro SSD.
I'm just very gad that I'm able to run ED at all !!! and 60fps on Medium settings is "acceptable" for now
Just ran my first full scan with all of the UI at 100%
I moved around in ED while TCE was saving for the purpose of the test.
and as before the same black and white flashing happened with only a small change in the area covered over buy the flash.
