The existing "tools" for trade in the game are half finished at best and broken at worst. FD are fine with these style of trade tools as they're the equivalent of writing everything down on a piece of paper, this just automates the process and speeds it up.
FD will release their own api in future to allow users to capture the data even faster but as that's got no confirmed date they're happy for people to use these tools (unless they're using automated scrapers). If FD didn't want players to use these tools you wouldn't be able to post about them on the forums.

Good to hear. I will release tomorrow an update, that handles the screenshot process more precise. TCE does not make a screenshot of the screen, instead it detects the ED window on the basis of its window caption and make a screenshot of this window. Thereafter you can move the whole overlay of the ED window to any monitor you want. Tested it here with lesser resolutions and it worked.
eventure, could you please split the checkboxes of the trade station database panel up into two sections? so e.g. refuel/rearm/repair on the left, rest to the right.
the panel is huge now, barely fitting on the screen when u use the classic ui.

had you tried something related to multi-hop trade routes? would be nice to hear something bout that. it would be very hard to get right, but would give tce an outstanding feature, so the effort could be worth the time.

Please reduce the zoom factor to fit it to your screen for the moment. There will be an overhaul of many panels, but that comes later. The Trade Scout Route Planner is half the way, the UI is nearly finished, but the code behind is missing.
I am working at the Personal Logbook atm, but its the next feature on my list.

one thing: i doubt we will ever need to differ small/medium pads. so you could reduce the checkboxes to a single one,
'inlcude s/m', which will, when ticked, take outposts into account. everything else is just not needed atm.

so... basically i break my horns to get decent trade routes, and a day after it's swarmed by noobs with trading apps
this is not different from the people who uses hacks in game, in fact this should be reported, and punished accordingly; the creator banned from the forums and in-game, as well the exploiters (aka users) as well

This app is the equivalent of writing everything down on a piece of paper. If you want to complain about trading apps go to one of the apps that shares it's data for anyone to look up.

I am repeating myself, but it might help other people to know this if they have the problem.
We need a Classic/Compact selection box in TCE Setup.xlsm
Right now, when U run it, it automatically change the Menu_Mode= back to CLASSIC.
Sometimes, depending where you place your panels,
you will not be able to access OPTIONS when you start TCE after running TCE Setup,
because the classic UI will be off the screen altogether.
It this happens the easiest way to fix it is to Quit TCE,
Edit TCE.ini and change CLASSIC for COMPACT manually.
You could also manually edit the position of your panels in TCE.mdb i guess.
Anyway, today the only button I could see was CONTROL, and a small bit of SHIP LOGBOOK.
But at least that gave me access to the OPTION panel to change back to COMPACT.
and here is the main point of this post:
the UI switched but the button from the CLASSIC UI also stayed behind and are functional
I wanted to see if they were all there so I moved the MAIN MENU to the left :
I could not test their functionality because accessing the PANEL POSITIONS window still blocks the UI,
but since I get the error sound on all of the buttons, my guess is that they would be if TCE wasn't locked up.
So I killed TCE with the task manager and restarted it,
It gave me back the COMPACT UI by itself the way it is supposed to be.
But accessing the PANEL POSITION to move MAIN MENU back to it's previous positions locked TCE again.
(I expected it but it was a good double check)
Killed it, restarted it and now everything seems fine.
I'm off for some trading and further TCE testing.

Good find, i didnt use the bottom view, so i didnt experience this issue. Found the problem and will be fixed in next update. Anyone using the bottom view of the Classic UI?

My UI was on top, Main Menu at the extreme top right,
POSITION/DESTINATION top center !

Yes, it is open source. Make the following: Deactivate macros under Excel, start TCE.xlsm, press ALT-F11 to open Visual Basic Editor. Now you can see the code by clicking at the modules and forms.
