After a long enforced absence from the forum... I'm back!

Great work Eventure - as usual. Currently using 1.45a and everything is really smooth.

Just one idea for an enhancement - on the new commodity panel would it be possible to also show an error if the sell price is higher than the buy price? Obviously this shouldn't happen but I find that EliteOCR (although I have trained it extensively) has difficulty with '6s' & '8s' as well as '44s' for some reason. This can lead to the error I have described.

I LOVE the Scan screen. Makes life alot easier.
But i see some sort of a problem.
When i use the trade scout and use the bidirectional option and select a route and start said route it takes AGES for it to show the Current and destination.
Up the top it says directing. But literary takes ages to say proper current and destination.

When starting a trade route and you are not at one of the stations, that are listed for the route, TCE directs you (shows "directing") to the closest station of the route. Fly to the preselected station and TCE starts the route automatically.
Or what you meaning with "AGES for it to show the Current and destination"?

Started using this today and... wow. Just wow.
This is amazing and something that should have been built into the game from the start.

One tiny little issue though... the game text "white" is more a blurred out very light grayish color - but the bright (bold) white font used for this trade computer extension is a little too intense and distracting - especially during flight operations I find my eyes wandering to the top of the screen way too often.
Maybe an option could be included to select/change/customize the primary font color, too?

did you tried the new compact UI?

It will replace the classic UI soon. You can also reduce the size of the panels with the triangle. I recommand start using it.

LOL sorry Eventure i just read what i wrote and I'm confused too lol
What i meant is
If say i pick a trade route and it is Clark station to Dahm Port
And i'm sitting at Smoot station

After i pick from from Bidirectional its says in the Current and destination Smoot Station
I believe what it should say is
Smoot station to Clarke Station. When i arrive at Clark Station then the Destination should change to Dahm Port to begin my run.

Hope that clears it up.

Not really, you saying, when starting a bidirectional trade route from station A to station B and you are currently at station C, you get showed, after starting the route,
under "current station" station C (that is correct) and under "manual destination" also station C (which is not)? Can you give me a screenshot of this please?

And if you reach one of the stations (A or B), even though you was not directed to them, the route was not started?

You can always check the route when opening the trade route planner, which shows also started bidirectional routes, if the station selection was made correctly.

thanks for great work :)

I used the 1.3x extensively but now I wanted to get back to trading and downloaded the 1.45 but I'm unable to get it to work, not sure what I'm doing wrong or forgetting but TCE always says "waiting for elite dangerous" "please enter the game"

I can see the log files are being genereted correctly and paths are correct in the tce_setup

any ideas?

If you got the message "Waiting for Elite Dangerous", then TCE didnt find any position data. Please restart ED, till you are in game, then start TCE.
Please check also the appconfig.xml file, if the VeboseLogging="1" entry under network is there.

Thanks, I've already restarted both elite and TCE many times, line in appconfig looks like this
<Network DatestampLog="1" LogFile="netLog" upnpenabled="1" Port="0" VerboseLogging="1"> </Network>

How about these lines in the TCE.ini file? Are yours the same apart from obviously changing G:\Frontier to where your game is installed:

NetLogPath=G:\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1003\Logs
AppConfigPath=G:\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1003
EliteOCRPath=G:\Frontier\TCE\EliteOCR

not sure what was the issue, I deleted the tce.ini file, recreated it and now its working :) must have been a type I missed

I love this, but I not smart. I have 1.44 and downloaded 1.45 update, do I just need to copy paste and then reset up and I will get to keep all my data?

Copy the update into the your TCE V1.44 folder. No reset needed and you can continue to use your collected data.

Thank you for this great tool!
Now with the newest update 1.45a I can see I have a problem. There seems to be a distance errror on most of my added stars. I really thought, and still do, that I understood how to enter them in the db. Anyhow, I have done it in the same way every time and it looks that some of the stars have correct coordinates. In the acess db I guess that the ones I have entered have SOK: = 1 ? It anyway looks like it though the ones with the higest Id:s are the ones I entered and they all have SOK: = 1, but some other star with lower Id:s also have that setting. Maybe you entered them via the tce ui?

Well, do you have any suggestion in how to find whats wrong?

Well, I'm not allowed to edit my post but it seems that the coords (when calculated in the form) isnt the ones saved in the db. It removes the decimal separator!
For instance the star "PISCIUM SECTOR IC-V B2-6" where shown the coords x: -96.271 y: -66.036 z: -33.995 but are saved as x: -96271 y: -66036 z: -33995 in the db?
Any clue to why this is happening?


Edit: * Now I can edit my posts *
The problem seems to have to locale settings. I dont use "." as decimal seperator I use "," (comma). So my excel and my access dosent like it when numbers are entered as "-96.271" instead of "-96,271". I Always entered all ly and ls data with comma and Everything works fine. The difference with the x,y,z coordinates seems to be that those are entered in the excel form with a illegal "." which is then filtered away by excel/access since that sign have no meaning. So a fix might be that those read only x,y,z fields in the form are updated with values and not strings, maybe?

Found out it tried to make the file in "X:\Games\Elite Dangerous\TCE\OCR_Export" so i just created the "OCR_Export" there now and i got the file, and now it works great :D so no panic and thx again for the great Tool :)

Just 1 question, anyone got a database they could share with some stations, cause its kinda empty as it comes :D

I have a problem with OCR as well. Where did you see that it tried to make cvs file? I have \TCE\OCR_Export folder and its empty. Looking at error log in OCR i see nothing.

Hi Eventure,

What a great prog, especially now I have moved it off my SSD to a normal Hard Drive.

Just one query, was the Data Base files Access 2003?? or my Access 2007 may be doing it.

No problem because 2007 does convert 2003 and also puts the Dates to a readable format.

You have saved me a fortune in Printing and Paper and my tired typing fingers, a Well earned donation by you follows shortly.
