Sounds fine... however... what's the difference? First time visit a clean and then always the update one?

And another matter... maybe I dont understand it but there is no way to plot and save a simple navigation loop instead of a full featured trade route?
For example I'd like to plot me a circular rare stations course... and if there are any regular commodities worth transporting between two hops I'd like TCE to tell me that. But that's a no go, yes?

Now with the newest update 1.45a I can see I have a problem. There seems to be a distance errror on most of my added stars. I really thought, and still do, that I understood how to enter them in the db. Anyhow, I have done it in the same way every time and it looks that some of the stars have correct coordinates. In the acess db I guess that the ones I have entered have SOK: = 1 ? It anyway looks like it though the ones with the higest Id:s are the ones I entered and they all have SOK: = 1, but some other star with lower Id:s also have that setting. Maybe you entered them via the tce ui?

Well, do you have any suggestion in how to find whats wrong?

SOK means "Status Of Knowledge": 0 = not visited, 1 = visited, 2 = partial, 3 = complete.

Well, I'm not allowed to edit my post but it seems that the coords (when calculated in the form) isnt the ones saved in the db. It removes the decimal separator!
For instance the star "PISCIUM SECTOR IC-V B2-6" where shown the coords x: -96.271 y: -66.036 z: -33.995 but are saved as x: -96271 y: -66036 z: -33995 in the db?
Any clue to why this is happening?

The problem seems to have to locale settings. I dont use "." as decimal seperator I use "," (comma). So my excel and my access dosent like it when numbers are entered as "-96.271" instead of "-96,271". I Always entered all ly and ls data with comma and Everything works fine. The difference with the x,y,z coordinates seems to be that those are entered in the excel form with a illegal "." which is then filtered away by excel/access since that sign have no meaning. So a fix might be that those read only x,y,z fields in the form are updated with values and not strings, maybe?

Its a localization problem, next update will fix it. Until then you can change the delimiter setting in your Excel options.

I have a problem with OCR as well. Where did you see that it tried to make cvs file? I have \TCE\OCR_Export folder and its empty. Looking at error log in OCR i see nothing.

If the export folder is empty, EliteOCR didnt make a file. Please activate the OCR debug window to see, where the problem is. Check also the path setting at your TCE.ini file for EliteOCR.

Just one query, was the Data Base files Access 2003?? or my Access 2007 may be doing it.

No problem because 2007 does convert 2003 and also puts the Dates to a readable format.

It is a Access 2007 DB file. The dates at the db are numbers, because of localization issues. Thanks for your support

A Clean Scan clears all values, you gathered before. That is useful, if commodities are no longer available at the station.
An Update Scan adds/updates commodity prices only.

A circular navigation plot is not supported by TCE directly, only via the trade route planner, as you said.

seems to be a great tool, some friends use this but I have a problem, install all goes great, TCE runs and the overlay works on my desktop. hot key works too. but when I open elite and log in, I cant get past the menu screen with the training and start links, start stays red when I hover over it. when I copy the backup appcongif.xml back in place, it works fine but your program complains about the old file. I checked the configuration of the file and it appears to be identical except the config file created by your application has missing white spaces which shouldn't make any difference. a friend installed this with the same steam purchased game and same excel version and it works fine. any ideas?

Minor bug

On the Trade Information screen whilst the icon is there to show that there are system notes, when clicked no data shows in the system notes window. The station notes are fine however.

Please try to use the backup of your appconfig.xml and add the VerboseLogging="1" entry manually. Did that work?

I know it does seem odd no one else is having this issue. the setting in the tce.ini file is NetLogPath=E:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Elite Dangerous\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1010\Logs

my appconfig file network settings (before running your app) are:

seems verbose logging is being added twice in your appconfig. not sure why that matters or if it does.

I then removed the verbose line and ran the program again. it works !!! I can send you a copy of the original file if you have trouble duplicating this.

Fine, you identified the problem and of course, give me your copy to recreate the issue. I will try to optimize this routine.
In the netlog file, there is only one codeline that is important. It is the line with the star system name and the current body ID. That is all TCE needs to function.

Hmm, the bidirectional scout is selfexplaining, set the filter settings to the desired values and press search. Select a found route and start it.

Rares etc

Me again I'm afraid

Is it possible to add a new 'Rare' commodity? I have just gained the permit for Jotun and notice that Jotun Mookah is not in the list of rares. I tried to add it manually directly into the Rares table but as I anticipated it caused an error.

It was fine when adding as a trading activity (Jotun Mookah showed in the list of rares and was selectable) but once this had been saved when I tried to look at the trading entry in the activities tab it caused an error. Unfortunately I cannot post the code as there was an error dialog which was hidden by TCE and I ended up having to use task manager to close TCE.

On another note I am curious how in the Commodity Panel the 'trend' arrows are applied. As far as I can see in the StationPrices table only the latest prices are saved. How can the trend arrows be produced if there is nothing to make a comparison with?

Remove the Verboselogging entry and let TCE do the job. Then restart ED.
